I had to do that for the Airstrip at Port O'Connor, Texas that no longer exists. Flew there in a King Air when I was about 3.

I have a charter flight from JRO to some dirt strip in the Serengeti to add, but haven't because I can't find proper coordinates for it. I should try to see if I can find it on google Earth.

Actually, we were the third stop, so I think that I should add 3 FM lines for it. :-:

Don't get me started on my neighbor's grass landing strip in rural Maryland (grew up on a tobacco farm).

I just discovered last night that there are 5 registered "airports" within a 5 mile radius of my house. They are privately registered to single owners (many of them named after their owners) with large back yards. Looking at Google satellite views, there is absolutely no way to determine the existence of these landing strips (or even a plane) but they're registered.

I need to start knocking on these owner's doors to see if I can get permission to create some fun FM lines. ^

If you have Lat/Long Coordinates (Google Maps), you can enter it into FlightMemory.

Here's the coordinates (38.628281,-76.566276) - one can still see the contour outline of where the "strip" was (parallel to the road). And no, there aren't any tobacco farms there anymore. The path near the treeline was what tractors and farm equipment followed.

I've had my PA license while living in TX for >4 years now. I just renewed it last fall when I went to visit some friends (it's at my mom's address, so it's an okay address if they mail stuff to me). I figure the first accident/ticket that gets reported to PA will have me changing IDs.

Where do you live? I'm up in The Woodlands, but would be willing to watch your kiddo if we could make it work. Or my other half could too.

You could take the kid to the DoT; the surreptitious flick-off could come at a very appropriate time.

A sunny day here in FLL. I hope it stays that way!

How long have you been there?

We arrived yesterday and leave on the last flight on Sunday.

Zip car? :-:

Way expensive for weekend rentals. Like ~$125-150 for the day.

I need to do this as well. Right now, JNU just appears as a dot on my FM (Helicopter tour to Mendenhall Glacier took off from there). I also have a Float Plane flight to add from the harbor to a nearby inlet (fly-fishing trip).

ETA - Juneau Sea Plane Base IATA Code is JSE

No, but you can easily pull it up on Google Maps to get Lat & Long, then plug that into a custom airport on FM.

I smell someone petitioning the Court of Marriage for a permit to purchase an Ultralight. @:-)

Since the USO DMZ tour is not available on the day we need to do said tour, I am looking in to other options. The other tour is a little  on the pricing at almost $100 per person. ALCO, from your experience, is it worth that kind of money?
