Ah but will he still remember all the little people after all the buzz. Well the ones with the pictures and blackmail will always be remembered! ;) |
I don't get carded any more except at places where carding is mandatory (e.g. "buying beer at Kroger"). One person looked at my ID and entered my DOB as being in the 1950's - it prints on the receipt - and I asked why. She said she thought that's what my license stated but that really hurt.*
* Hopefully I'll make it to my 50's. I just don't think I currently look like I'm in my mid 50's. |

Well, I like being considered a nutjob more than a mule, but I'll take what I can get.

You know, it's odd. If you list "China, Korea, Thailand, Kenya, South Africa, U.A.E." on the "Countries Visited This Trip" portion of your Blue Immigration Form, USCIS doesn't bat an eye. Take a trip to Saskatoon for the weekend, and Canadian Immigration puts on the rubber-gloves. :rolleyes:

no you don't look in your mid 50's. however hair and mustache can make people think older....
and, also, don't forget that the age of the Kroger person factors in. If it was someone in their late teens/early twenties, anyone who looks remotely older than 25-30 is, well, just old, and therefore must have been born in the 1950's or before!!! I can remember being 18 and thinking that someone who was 23 was old! |
The :rolleyes: of Canadian Customs is what stopped me from booking the RSW-YHZ UA Q-UP (can use UA/US/AC flights on that one). Young, male & traveling alone on a short-trip gets those Canucks all worked up into a froth.

Try "going across the border for an hour or two to see the Canadian side of the Falls" - that resulted in a full trunk inspection ...

I turn 28 on Saturday. I feel old. Does this count? :confused:;)

Take any weekend trip to Canada and they want to put the rubber-gloves on. They must really enjoy digging in there. I think 5 days is the minimum trip length that they consider acceptable to ensure you spend enough cash.
I've not yet received the rubber glove treatment from the Canadians. My most recent trip was a 36 hour stay last March for a bachelor party. I'll get another chance in YTO this Labor Day weekend. Coming home via YTZ so no pre-clearance but I'll have to clear in having transited Manila and Seoul earlier in the week (though my entry will be simply from CVG). |

It isn't clear, to me, if the form is requesting the name of the countries visited, or the number of the countries visited. Or, for that matter, if a simple "yes" or "no" response is sufficient. On this issue, the form is really vague, in my view. I put "1" on the line once, and got a dissertation from some not-so-nice US governmental employee about how he has never heard of "Country No. 1." :rolleyes: |
