Morning Box!

I had a feeling I was going to receive an e-mail regarding pulling data for a research company. Sure enough, it's there bright and early. They have been blowing smoke up our butts for the past month leaving me twiddling my thumbs. We had no idea what they wanted pulled so we couldn't get a head start and now they dump it on us and I happen to be going out of town. :p

Power failures are starting.. its gonna be a fun day.

Saw a PPlus ad on the way to work, I-10 East just inside the East Loop. Can't remember the wording, just that it really stood out.

It's an extremely random place to put such an ad unless they are targeting the guys that work at the Budweiser facility right there.

A North Dakotan in Norway? You must be joking? ;) (for those who don't know, ok everyone here, ND people are mostly Norweigan with half the State with the last name Johnson or Anderson)

Morning box -

Back to work on Monday after a weekend oncall and in the hospital both days. My crankiness is already beginning to show.

Morning, Box.

I'm sitting at home on the family room couch today, since my wife's traveling this week. And now I hear my 13-month old daughter banging on her crib upstairs, so that's my cue to start my working day.

Lovely weather here this morning..

My agency has the warning sirens that bark orders. At home (adjacent to work), I have the positive externality of a siren system that warns me before the weather radio.

That's easy. Take away her tea and marmite. Or make her eat grits - deeeees-guuuusss-ting stuff.

 that, theoretically, means that if I had started young, I could be your mother. ...... OMG, now I really do feel old.

Morning Box.

So far my experiment of buying a Box of Joe on Sunday and drinking it through the week instead of doing a Dunkin run each morning hasn't gone so well. I didn't nuke the coffee enough so it wasn't even mildly warm and I couldn't find the top to my Mets :rolleyes::rolleyes: Dukin cup so it was sloshing around while driving. :td: I thought it might be here in the office but I don't see it. I may buy a replacement.:rolleyes::-:

In other news I figured out why I was unsuccessful in backing up my laptop and desktop to the 1TB drive I attached to my Airport Extreme  router. It was formatted FAT32 (LC:rolleyes:) and throws up at files over 4GB. Surprise, surprise, Time Machine and my PC backup software both need to create files well over 4GB.

I repartitioned/reformatted it in HFS+ and now all it working fine. ^:-:

I finally received my Google Voice invite and now I'm trying to decide on a number. I'd like to have a 713 area code (original Houston area code) but there is not a lot of number available that I like except for one that ends in 772 ;)

The 832 area code has XXX-JET1 available but I'm not sure it's unique enough. Thoughts?

Personal or business?

It will be on my business cards so I'd consider it business. My friends will still call me using my cell number.

No interest in doing something more business-focused? XXX-CODE, maybe? :p
