Glad it is ERJ now, I could have sworn I'd seen SHV at the Terminal A side on props......

ahh I did...only the evening flights are ERJ. I rarely ever fly though IAH in the morning, it must have been last month when I was there after a 6am flight from FLL ;) I normally try to fly after 4pm.

No but there were (are) some critical updates. Due to the profound suckitude of Firefox 3.5, I'm still using IE in the office.

There are almost always "critical" updates. And about 80% of the exploits are avoided by having any sort of firewall between your computer and the rest of the intertubes. The other 20% are avoided by not being an idiot, which is harder for many folks out there, but still reasonably easily avoidable.

I too need my ocean fix on a regular basis and try to schedule a tropic weekender. Beaches, well sand, annoy me but I am in heaven under an umbrella with a fruity rum drink and/or a bucket of ice cold beer. I also love to snorkel, though rest assured that a shirt is worn at all times...

I really enjoyed Belize (placencia), but it sucks that you can not walk off snorkel and the beaches are a joke. ANU has been one of the best as it is still quiet without a ton of commercialization. Unfortunately CO has cut down the schedule significantly, mostly due (I think) to a subsidy reduction.

STX was also nice for the same reason.

Absolutely agree (although a small proportion of exploits are related to passively visiting what should be safe sites), and I use non-MS software to handle security functions.

So true, but I guess many of us non idiots still fear some crazy penetration attack from some brilliant 14 year old in the former soviet bloc.

:p

I collect foreign coin currency. Until my trip to Scandinavia I thought it was a cheap hobby (though the travel to get somewhere to collect more can be a bit more expensive). There are ~$4 coins in that region.

I got a 15€ coin in Paris and my wife and I thought we got faked out because it was too odd. We tried giving it to a cabbie, but he didn't have change and looked at it odd. Back at the hotel we goggled it and found it was worth more than 15€. ^:-:

God bless your ability to sit on a beach and do nothing for 4-5 days, ALCO. I can't go to the Jersey Shore and sit on the beach for more than about an hour...before anyone makes a Jersey crack, it's not the location. It's that if I go someplace, I want to be seeing things. I feel like sitting on a beach is a waste of time.

I do not like beaches. I don't like sand, strong sun and it's generally a PIA. I might like it at one of those expensive resorts with nice lounges, umbrellas and butler service. I prefer a nice pool, but that's harder to find. Nice being, not a lot of people, shade, and no kids. :-:

On Tuesday evening, July 14, at about 22:00 CET time, a storm caused a power outage in the  Data Center. During the service interruption, all IT services provided by the  Data Center were unavailable including e-mail, BlackBerry data services, and remote access via :eek:/@:-). All sites globally were impacted.

As of Wednesday morning, July 15 at 5:00 CET time, most services have been restored. (this stament is FALSE:-:)
