Papeete is on the left of that shot so coming in at night you can see a little bit more, I also landed from the other end and it was just total darkness until the runway markers, TN had the front gear camera on the IFE ,it was pretty cool.

We were cheated on our inbound to PPT because they did not have the front gear camera. We had the gear camera on the return to JFK, but the cloud cover was so low (maybe even foggy) that I didn't see anything until we were over the runway.:rolleyes:

I think ALCO mentioned that before. Don't know if he's been, or wants to go.

Haven't done FNC, but HER is like landing on a Carrier-Deck, as well.

For those of you who are SmugMug users, their CEO did a presentation on the technical details of their business. Incredibly awesome.

I did GLA-HER on FirstChoice (28" Pitch IIRC). It was . Crete itself was excellent.

Yeah, I watched that last week and it makes a tempting argument to switch from a technical perspective.

I cannot see it because this client blocks youtube, but I do love the technology behind their site. I'm a big fan and quite happy to pay them a bit each year to host my photo collection.

When I was a little , we did a cruise around the Greek Islands, I don't remember much except our bags got stolen in front the hotel in Paris after flying into CDG. It was my 3rd bday and I remember that part as if it was yesterday .

It talks about their design of the databases (barely normalized at all) and the way their distribution network works (Amazon EC2).
