Baglady, fiancee wants to know details...she's got 3 nieces and I can find a hotel gig down there.

They were posted previously but basically it is pushing a swing, supervising art activities; ensuring not too much tv/movies are watched; occasionally accompanying BL JR to play dates, etc. I did forget - cocktails at 5

I am going to India in BF in Nov for work, but I will be there for 18-20 days, probably a bit much for BL Jr :)
Plan on taking some days to visit Fatehpur Sikri for a while as well.

Probably. She's into 2-3 day trips at best.

That could be interesting. Is there any tension down there these days or has it cooled off?

According to Plus1, there is tension due to the new regime; hence his hesitance in letting me go. I believe he said "When you're done, go ahead and go to Sri Lanka" which is the only place he has kindly forbid me to go.

I believe I was looking at around 12,000 qualifying miles x 2 so each trip would be 24,000 miles if my math is okay (I've had two glasses of wine so no telling)

Doesn't she have troubles with changing time zones? ;)

She takes care of me. I'm more difficult than most.

In other news, my very same fiancee who has protested her (uninformed) dislike of lamb ate a gyro at the Devil game. She is well and truly coming around on the food front. :D

And she seems to think that she handled rapid time zone change better than me...I came home from SEA and slept about 16 hours the next night. :o:eek:

Glad to know the stock price of my recommendations. :p Seriously though, the museum is all military, but downtown Dayton is huge on the Wright Brothers, and there's the field where they flew the later versions of the Wright Flyer, the interpretative center, the Park Service-staffed building next to one of their original bike shops...for anyone as interested in commercial flying as this crew is, the least one should do IMO is see how it all began at least once. Fly CLE-DAY or EWR-DAY if you want, or DAY is 1h20 from CMH. It's a boring town - get in, see the museum stuff, get out. But there's at least a few bars, and it really is fun to see all the exhibits...one of which, I might add, is Bock's Car...really cool stuff. I would also heartily suggest listening to the lecture series that comes from there - free on iTunes and it's great.

Hey CM, I just watched the news on NBC news 4 up here and I know see what you mean about Sue Simmons. What a

Yeah - she's atrocious. How the people haven't revolted and demanded a news anchor that can actually pronounce the big words is beyond me.

ATH. Really cheap fares right now...

I really wanna go back there, moreso especially since I've heard that their green initiatives helped to clean up the awful pollution that I saw there when I visited at the end of 2000. It was so sad to ascend to the Acropolis and see a big brown cloud of  that reminded me of LAX instead of a cityscape from a high point.

With the double EQMs, this PHL-SAN fare is too good to pass up.

If I ka-ching on one of these interviews this week, I'm doing an overnight or a same-day turn.

Can someone please tell Plus1 it's no big deal for me to do a MR to MGA? He seems to be having issues with it and thinks the airport will get taken over while I'm there

If it's just a MR and staying inside the airport, it should be fine.

Steph3n Mar 20, 2009 10:38 pm

wow Wake Forest has just totally destroyed me on rankings in brackets with this loss!
Still 90% but I had wake picked to go to the elite 8.

I just picked up an overnight in early May that will allow me to requal for Plat by early July.

Hopefully this will be the one and only time I have to drive down to PHL this year. :)

Gosh, I am really thinking about a MR LAX-SYD on UA next weekend. $791 all-in. Instant premiere status till 2/2010. Non-stop flights, about 31 hours on the ground, no need to take vacation time. Too good to pass up!

Good luck on the interviews and if you do make it out here for an overnight, let me know and we'll get together.

I put a few PHL-SAN flights on hold and will decide tomorrow. I am going to try to do one SAN run and one LAS run and have dinner with a friend in LAS, both from PHL.

Why couldn't these PHL-SAN fares have been around when I was living in PHL? I had to do a BWI-SAN run, the day before I moved here just to maintain silver. Now that I move, fares are MR worthy.
