No. They'll have a stream available online later this evening.

No, but the keynote will more than likely be posted online by Apple afterward.

I'm flexible on both sides by a few days and can fly via any NYC area airport.

Thank you! If we ever meet-up at a DO I'm indebted to you by a beer or two.

In other news, upgrade for an upcoming CO flight just came through. At least something went well today.

Best I could do was (standard Biz Reward Inventory for *A):

16 August
EWR-FRA LH 403 17:40-07:05+1

17 August
FRA-ZRH LH 3722 08:30-09:20*
ZRH-BKK TG 971 13:30-05:30+1

*Note - LX also has nonstop options JFK-ZRH, flights 15 (20:45-10:55+1) & 17 (18:00-08:15+1), which may or may not have reward inventory available. ANA Tool is not capable of checking LX reward inventory. Also, if the FRA-ZRH connection is too tight, LX has a FRA-ZRH flight (#1069, 09:15-10:05). Once again, I can't see availability for LX, so don't know whether that is an option

2 September
BKK-LAX TG 794 19:20-21:25*
LAX-BOS UA 166 23:00-07:36+1 (Domestic F on a 752)

3 September
BOS-LGA US 2121 09:00-10:19 (Domestic F - US Shuttle)

*Note - All indicators are that TG will be continuing the LAX Route, but it will likely have a stop in the future (NRT, ICN, TPE...something), and probably on an A346. I checked into returning via Europe to get back from BKK, and wasn't finding anything around those dates.

I feel dirty. My 5,000th Post was somewhat useful. :o

Congrats on 5K!

As planned the itin you found would be a RTW ticket it would seem, though without sufficient stops to actually ticket as such. That might be an issue. Or will the *A system just let it ticket based on total miles traveled and ignore the direction in which the travel occurs?

Yikes. Hadn't considered that. Do *A have some sort of requirement that travel be in the same direction each way, even if there's only one stop (BKK), so-to-speak? A rule like that makes little sense for a destination almost exactly halfway round the earth. Then again, lots of airline rules make little sense. My suggestion may not be as useful as I had thought. However, perhaps the US agents might bend the rules for you so long as each flight you choose has Standard Biz availability, given that your original award itinerary is hosed.

Would it help if I told you I still love you? :o (congrats on 5k)

Thanks for lookin' that up. If anyone sees an "official" statement from TG and wants to ping me I'd be very appreciative. I'm actually bogged down with work at work today.

So what was revealed at MacWorld?

Well, CO and DL require that all awards to SE Asia go via the Pacific, which is what made me thing to ask about it.

Nothing all that crazy re the iPhone or anything else Mac that I can see so far, though I certainly haven't been paying a ton of attention.

Worldwide Developer Conference ;) :p

No new phone yet. They do have a centralized application that will keep your Macs, PCs, and iPhone(s) in sync.

And I'm guessing that for CO & DL's purposes, BKK is categorized as SE, rather than S. Asia? Odd rule, considering that EWR-CDG-BKK is 100 mi. shorter than EWR-NRT-BKK.

sdm1130 Jun 9, 2008 12:31 pm

Finally - over an hour and a half into it, they finally start talking 3G iPhone. ^

Yah for standard flush headphone jack! I can finally get rid of that annoying dongle thing!
