Some folks are horribly allergic to perfumes. If the mask lady was one of those I can see her showing up prepared for such a situation.

Or she's just plain strange.

I went to the store a bit ago to buy some car air freshener because in the humid weather and then the heat at the airport parks, it develops a sour smell, well everyone thought I was sick after smelling a few I was sneezing up a storm.
I am not sick at all, haven't sneezed in weeks till smelling one of those floral scents.....

Sitting next to a plastic surgeon at the bar here for dinner. Great line of the night is:

"You may have a perfct chin or a perfect nose, but if inside you are still an arse that is going to show through and the surgery isn't going to matter at all."

I like hearing a guy who is honest with his clients. :)

EWR-MEX is $233a/i. Getting close to the acceptable threshold for a same-day turn.

I remembered back in the late 80s there was a lot of Israeli military made gas masks for sale at the local gun stores. Could be had for around $10 or so. I wanted one but since they were in abundance I thought could get one any time. As usual, California taketh away .

Looks intersting, though I'm not sure I want to go to 100' in that part of the Atlantic....cold water down there. Plus deep dives means very little bottom time. And on that one there doesn't appear to be anything else to see as you head back up.

On the plus side, it is very close to my parents' place so if I ever go for more than 36 hours I'll give it a try. Most of my trips down there don't leave time for diving.

There is a plane wreck off Oahu - the YO-257 - that is a Japanese fighter from WWII and it is one of the "regular" dives out there quite fun as a dive but similarly deep, which I don't like. I'm very happy to spend an hour underwater in 30-50' of water instead of 10 minutes at 100'.

Nice! Another $50 or so drop and I'm in!

Come to think of it, I am shedding 6 A320's and one ATR-72 in favor of the 737's. Rather than sell them outright, they could be lease birds too.

I'll not fly aircraft manufactured by capitalist swine. It was bad enough starting the game with 3x ATRs. At least the French are semi-communist. It was nice to put the An-74s on my flagship routes today.

I am so sick of CNN and its reliance on facebook and twitter to provide it with commentary. If wanted to know or cared about what some random ......... in Minnesota or wherever has to say about current events (which I do not, I assure you), I would read a blog. When I watch television, I expect to be told what noteworthy events happened on that day without editorializing or interjection of non-journalistic opinion from Twitter, Facebook, and random emails. Not that it is possible to find uneditorialized journalism these days, but I can do without the Twitter and Facebook comments by losers.

That's the problem with the news channels nowadays, they're so darn lazy to do real investigative reporting they resort to Twitter, Facebook, et. al. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought they were hip for doing it this way.
