Hmmm, I'm now Radisson Silver. My pointless comp to Radisson Gold resulted in exactly $0 of my business going to that cr@ptastic hotel chain.

It can't be more  than Choice Hotels.

PhD student, and at this rate of success, for a l:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:ng time...

Now, I will go home, sit outside to enjoy this incredible weather, light up a Cohiba Siglo V, and drown my sorrows with a big tumbler of Courvoisier VS:rolleyes:P (with a bottle of Maker's Mark nearby just in case...)

I needed a fellow student like you in my PhD program. My application is back in and hoping to hear this week about my fate!

I really would like to do that PR flight. I nearly did when there was a (not honored) mistake fare in J on the LAS-YVR route. I'd also like to do a CC trade to redeem OneWorld miles for JFK-YVR in F on CX.

What is PR? (yes I am too lazy to search tonight)

I'm getting burnt out already. Is it possible to have a mid-life-crisis before 30? :D

I'm banking on the fact that it will be so much nicer once I'm no longer having to juggle work and school simultaneously.

Burnt out from studying or flying and when are you going to do anything with your life! :)

Have a look at www.globaledd.com - my primary target is the EU given my experience but we will be prepared to provide services worldwide. I just had drinks with a guy whose family does a lot of work in China, so they may be able to assist if needed in the region.

I also have a contact moving to Saipan, which would provide an interesting option for processing data given its strong US ties.

I am an ex-debater with good research skills! :)

Eventually yes, but we (me) are currently in startup mode as I build the foundation of the business. The market is there, it is just a matter of putting the building blocks in place. I expect to begin marketing in the next month and will leverage the heck out of my contacts.

Did I mention that I can cook too! :)

So I am still bummed about my flight to SEA tomorrow. I have managed in the last three days to fill the next four days seeing 10 to 20 friends/ former co-workers in Las Vegas, book a Dentist appointment in Las Vegas, arrange to meet the fabolous BagLAdy and Hartmann at the IAH PC, bag free tickets to an Aeros game, see two friends in Houston, meet a new FTer on Saturday morning before our trip to NRT, see my parents Sunday, and then fly home and rest on Tuesday (oh wait, that is St. Patty's day, must party).

I am so looking forward to my trip now! I have posted my PC/WC/BR visits in the PC thread let me know if yall are around!

Actually, it can. At least with Choice's promotions, one can often get a free night in Europe (where points can be redeemed but not earned) for each couple inexpensive stays in the U.S. GoldPoints Plus is pretty much worthless worldwide.

Hartmann, your dog is a cute.

The vet said she is a mix of Ridgeback with some Pitbull and possibly Whippet.
The dog is lightning fast and leaps over fences at the dog park like she is on a trampoline.

Here is her full portfolio

Choice is taking significant steps to address their -ness. They retained the same hospitality consulting firm that *Wood, the PANYNJ, and the PGA Tour uses. I had applied with them to work the Choice account right before the economy took a dump - I don't know if Choice stayed with the firm or cost-cut them, but the deal did get signed.

ETA: Firm is LRA Worldwide.

I was burping her against my shoulder, and (not knowning) the burp cloth fell to the side, and I was watching TV. Apparently, she was sucking on my shoulder, and I didn't even feel it. After about 10 minutes, my wife walks by and thought my daughter was sucking blood. No. She starts to laugh... it's a hickey. Let the jokes begin.:D

The good news is SHE isn't getting hickeys at 4 months old :D You gotta watch those little suckers ;)

Once you get off at the Transit Center, you can take the Metrorail, north, one stop to Bell. Walk, east a few blocks (.3 miles), and you're there. Bring an umbrella or rain coat. Forecasts are calling for cooler temperatures (highs in the upper 50s) and rain.

It's amazing how close they look. Mine was half chow/half pitbull but looked almost identical to her. She and Plus1 were great friends! :D

Better to have a little sucker than a little boy that pees all over you when you change his diaper. Thank god that only happened to me once.

Me too, but I figured it was my machine that dropped the photo. My computer has "issues".

The woman who lived across the street from me had two little boys, and her worst two diaper change stories involved a golden shower and an  look that went horribly wrong, and another one where she had just gotten French nails put on, only to find later that the smell of poo following her around all day was from some  living under her acrylic nail.
