Nope. I actually signed up before they were a CO partner. They signed on with CO a month or two after I opened my VoiceStream account.

Jerry Seinfeld had that phone , he called his car when it got stolen because George left the keys in it.

I loved the phone - they were very powerful and rarely had dropped call issues. But the entire install process kinda sucked.

I had a brief stint as a sales exec for Cell1 and remember when it was cool to have the units preinstalled on the luxury cars. That, in turn, made life hell for our installers as they were asked to hide the handsets in consoles and armrests.

It was like having a pay phone inside the car , It must have taken up the whole console.

Haha — and here I am still using my original VoiceStream SIM card after nearly 10 years in my current T-Mobile BlackBerry handset. It was originally in a bare bones Nokia that had no memory and stored the full address book and all SMS text messages on the SIM card.

I would still have my original Omnipoint SIM if it wasn't for some "water damage" years ago. But, I too have a VS SIM. Though I'm likely finally going to get a Tmo one since the new SIMs allowed SMS delivery notifications (the old VS ones don't).

My old VoiceStream SIM (circa 1995) was full and I could not add any more names to my phonebook. I was told that I should exchange it for a new one which had considerably more memory and did so just last month. The new one that they cloned in the T-Mo store has not rejected any listings so I guess that my advice was correct.

That VoiceStream phone that I got was an Ericsson T28 World, one of the best phones made at the time. It was my first GSM phone and the great deal I had was for free incoming in Europe.

However, my first cell phone was in '85, a Panasonic with a battery that came in a case the size of a hard cover book with a strap so that you could sling it over your shoulder.

We got pretty good at hiding the "brains" in the trunk and running wires for the handsets.

I usually ignore everything Elliott says but:

Our review found that although you flew only 24,891 actual miles in 2008, you contacted us to obtain mileage compensation of 68,500 miles, numerous upgrades, and $5,125 in dollar off certificates.
200 complaints in 6 months on 24,891 miles flown? Is UAUA really that bad? (rhetorical question, of course) I've had communications related to problems getting miles posted but have only received a service credit once (and only requested/deserved once) on SkyTeam in the last year.
