I'd caramelize some onions and add a dash of soy sauce.

I might add some green or red peppers and some crushed red pepper for a bit of spice. Plus, I add garlic to about everything except cereal. :)

How involved do you want to get?

If you have time on your hands I'd sauttee some garlic, (sweet) onions, and shallots then fold into blue cheese crumbles with a shot of dijon (if you like mustard). Spread over the steak and broil for a minute.

Unless your pepper steak is in some sort of gloppy "Chinese" sauce (as opposed to just pepper crusted, which is how I read your post), in which case I think you're SOL.

What do you have against Garlic-O's?

Speaking of cereal, someone should contact cerealmarketer to see if we can sell them the idea of  shaped cereal.

Not bad at all. ^ Thx.

Great minds think alike. Crushed red pepper is one of my food groups, and I'm a recovering garlic addict. I used to have a garlic-tinged sweat. I think I've raved about my local bagel joint here...I picked up their homemade garlic cream cheese the other day and that was mistakeus maximus. The cream cheese was crunchy with coarse-cut clove pieces and waaaaaay overpowered.

Sorry, should have been clearer. The steak in question is still frozen, but stir-fry cut. I can do whatever I want subject to it meeting the palates of my mother and fiancee, and I think the fiancee would be excluded on blue cheese and mustard...she likes them separately, but any "new" food takes time to sell her on. But it sounds delicious.

I conquered the  golf ball. Thank you, Titleist.com. The account is set up under Rolle Yes, and Mr. Yes might be ordering if the Penalty Box Golf Invitational ends up happening.

Which graphic did Mr Yes select ?

DANGER. DANGER.

You're fixin to end up with a misSTEAK™ on your hands if you're not careful.

The mixture I posted above sounds harsher than it is. I used this recipe in the cooking contest I entered last Spring and put the steak / blue cheese topping on fresh ciabatta and made grilled paninis. The bread visually disguised what was on there for the finicky palates in the crowd, and not one person said they didn't like it (or spit it out) -- and several admitted their shock that they liked the blue cheese after I told them what was on it.

The tentative design has  on one side, and the text as of now is "Rolleyes conquers Bethpage". Comments and suggestions are of course welcome. IIRC the minimum order on custom-art balls is 12 dozen, so if a design is picked and then frozen, anyone who wants to participate in Box Golf or any esteemed  collectors are welcome to buy into however many balls get ordered.

I'm missing something: what does the steak still being frozen have to do with using your recipe? It's defrosting as we speak for dinner tonight.
