From the WSJ

LONDON (Dow Jones)--The U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary warned the Department of Transportation of dangers to competition by giving antitrust immunity to transatlantic airline alliances.

In a letter dated Dec. 19 and addressed to Attorney General Michael Mukasey and Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, the committee said that the DOT "should exercise its statutory authority to grant antitrust immunity sparingly" and only in rare circumstances "where parties seeking immunity have sustained their heavy burden of establishing that competition must be supplanted to serve some other public interest."

The letter signals the hurdle that British Airways PLC(BAY.LN), AMR Corp.'s (AMR) American Airlines and Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana SA (IBLA.MC) will need to overcome to get antitrust immunity.

However, that barrier may be bigger for United Airlines, Continental Airlines (CAL), Deutsche Lufthansa AG (LHA.XE) and seven other members of the Star Alliance: approval, the committee said, would "create the world's largest airline immunized alliance."

I spent over an hour last night trying to figure out if I could put something together for FM. I was doing well untill I hit the repeat flights and hit a big stone wall. No clue when I approximately took the flights after a while and if it was a 757, 727, DC-10, DC-9-xx, MD-80, ERJ-145, ERJ-135, F100.

Does anyone know what kind of 737 CO was using for IND-EWR this past May?

That coffee inflight is definitely a treat. I am on record around here that the best business class service on the transat routes is supplied by OS. Now if they only would update their aircraft.

Feel free to substitute "in ALCO's mouth" for "on the ground."

BTS.gov knows. Click on either "Departures" or "Arrivals" under the "Detailed Statistics" section to find your flights.

If you define Labatt as "quality" then you don't deserve to go to BRU.

I imagine if they are downstairs, there is less likely for someone to watch more than one person go in.

Hmmmmm....

Praying?

In other news, sensing a recycled conversation coming up, we've already covered the ballroom lav on the 764.

... move on. Nothing to see here.

I imagine that by the end of the evening, I would be game even for Labatt (though it is generally ).

And, yes, I got the chits, and even mentioned it here in The Box. Looks like you were delinquent in your Box reading, but thanks very much! They will be put to good use on the Party Flight back from BRU.

I thought it was the 762 bathroom that was preferred, not the 764.
