You know there's an issue when SeatGuru says there are no good seats (but 10 borderline seats) in F. It feels constrained even with 4-5 more inches of pitch than most other domestic aircraft.

The DL 767-300s (both domestic and international) and the non-reconfigured 400s are devoutly to be avoided if at all possible.

Unfortunately, the award gods have provided us with a 300 EWR-AMS in September and it appears right now that I have no way around it. I will however, not stop looking for alternatives.

At the same time it's problematic when pilots announce they are packing (even under an acronym).

 "announce"?

I foresee the use of the "free redeposit" feature in your future.

I would presume that the SO does not need a football reference to envision any of your dimensions.

When the SkyTeam USA boarding procedure calls for SkyPriority / Zone 1, a mass of humanity clumps at the gate agent.

Given your weight loss, I'd agree with a ballpark CB estimate for you.

Some Googling tells me that the LB position (all variants of) runs an average of 6'1.67" and 240 lbs. At 6'3.25", I'd be happy at 250.

No bump on us. Oh well.

Good to avoid CVG - it's like the hublet in that it's largely a RJ farm. Hope your VDB potential goes well too.

I use CVG whenever possible. There are mainliners to most of my destinations and now even the CR7s are reconfigured with FC. The only pure ER4 or CR2 destination that I have from there is the 25 minute flight to SDF and most of the time it is cheaper to add that flight than to get off in CVG and drive, which I prefer to do.

Since they reconfigured the DL side and put everything in the B concourse, changing at CVG is probably as easy as it is anywhere in the country and there are enough of my flights to constantly make the airport available to me.

Little things - from purchasing clothes to looking at laundry to explaining why my ability to pack the same number of changes of clothing in a smaller suitcase - make it important to note I really weigh almost twice as much as she does.

If the pilot/FO said "FFDO" in front of people, he/she is broadcasting the fact that the flight deck has a weapon in it. Element of surprise fail. Totally valid concern.

6'2" and just around 200 pounds - the one dimension I can't shrink is shoulder width (which also is the only problem when I fly).

I would trade Houston's summer for a south Florida summer, if those were my only choices.

Summer in South Florida is a great time of year if you do live right on the ocean since it has a completely different microclimate from that found only a mile or two inland.

There is a constant seabreeze that makes it lovely no matter what the actual temperature and all of the tourists and those who clog up the area during the "season" have vanished. I spend as much time as I can down there during the summer since the weather at our place is so much better than it is in NYC.

I'm currently doing the "weight-restricted dance" (sort of like a rain dance). Does the "expert" have any more insight on SkyTeamUSA 3714? Even with the information I'm getting, I can't tell if it's oversold or if there's still that much of a backlog from Friday.

Exactly. Preflight announcement, with cockpit door open: "I'm Captain John, and our first officer is Mary, and (holding nickel plated 9MM out in right hand) and this is our leetle friend."
