Today is shaping up as a lazy day. We still need to get to the store and take care of a few other errands.

Good afternoon Box.

I have never cared for S&W. I had a compact semi once, never liked it and ultimately sold it cheap just to get rid of it.

baglady, hope you get your Bose and ipod back.

There is a constant seabreeze that makes it lovely no matter what the actual temperature and all of the tourists and those who clog up the area during the "season" have vanished. I spend as much time as I can down there during the summer since the weather at our place is so much better than it is in NYC.

Wanna watch an Up-Helly-Aa celebration? This was the crowd of "Vikings" last night singing and carrying torches before they burnt the boat.

I must say, it is pretty cool to be sitting in a car flying down I-81, laptop tethered to the HTC TouchPro, reading FT/soccer news/etc. We even got to watch the second half of Uruguay-South Korea thus - the quality was choppy in most places, with semi-frequent pauses, but a heck of a lot better than nothing. Modern technology is pretty awesome. :D

Yep, it is great. I just wish the majority of wireless service providers weren't so greedy and restrictive when it comes to tethering.

It's too d@mn hot outside in DC today.

For lunch today we hit Ted's Bulletin, a fairly new restaurant in Barracks Row featuring classic diner food with a modern flair. While the food was excellent, and service great, the real standout of the meal were the adult milkshakes. I had the grasshopper, and Brian had a white Russian, and they were both amazingly good. It was well worth the 30 minute wait for a table, which we passed with a couple of Diet Cokes and a homemade rainbow sprinkled sugar cookie from the bakery counter in the front of the restaurant.

Despite the heat, it's been a fun weekend here. I'm loving living in this city more and more. And I haven't missed Atlanta at all since we moved. I miss our loft there, mainly because it was just so "us," in a way that a rented apartment never quite will be, but other than that and some favorite restaurants, I don't miss that place at all.

I like the enhanced sigmas - different trigger pull and doesn't have the Glock squared trigger guard.

Definitely hope for the quick return of possessions.

Groceries purchased. I greatly doubt we will leave here for the rest of the day.

Interesting. Noticed a grouped difference in headgear. Were they all local, or groups from outside joining as well?

Thanks, and in the other context, also to Madame Sarkozy and Sir Paul. Yep, technology is wonderful.

That dinner has been known to make an appearance on this coast, as well. ^

I really need to set up a happy hour soon. After 4th of July, things should be looking good.
