Lost 0.7lb yesterday. That doesn't seem appropriate given the level of discomfort endured, but I'll take it nonetheless.

I've already self-poured myself the first beer of the day at the MSP C12 Club.

Bout to head to the pc and self-medicate with an 0830 bloody Mary.

The story not relayed from earlier today after security concern has already been reported. There was an FFDO on my flight today and someone - couldn't discern if staff or other associated individual - was allowed on the plane and surprised FFDO. FFDO came back up to gate agent to complain and literally stated there was a problem with communication when others don't know he's an FFDO while the gate agent was actively boarding - perhaps four feet from me. A few people in the first-class / SkyPriority line actually know what an FFDO is ...

According to the info I got from the front desk, not a good chance for a VDB at all today. :td:

Looks like I will be flying to SFO because of a schedule change with my SJC run. ;)

The agent rebooked me into Y and the segments had the Elite Upgrade option, but someone caught it because the fare class is now L

I was able to change my flights to do EWR-IAH-SMF w/ the hub flights on a 767 :).

Does this mean that my other SJC runs will have changes too or is this a change for a specific weekend?

"No Middle Seat" Guarantee: Effective July 23, 2010, this promotion will no longer be available. To ensure a comfortable flight we'll guarantee that you receive a window or aisle seat in Economy Class if you are not upgraded to the front cabin when you purchase a full fare on Continental Airlines and Continental Micronesia operated flights. We're so committed to this guarantee; we'll automatically reward our OnePass members with 2,500 OnePass miles if they do sit in a middle seat.

OnePass members traveling on non-discounted domestic fare basis codes and ticketed in F, D, Y classes of service and non-discounted international fare basis codes starting with J, D, Z, C, F, Y and ticketed in J, D, Z, C, F, Y classes of service qualify for the "No Middle Seat" Guarantee. The sole and exclusive remedy for when Continental is unable to provide a window or aisle Economy seat is receiving 2,500 bonus miles. A maximum of 2,500 bonus miles may be earned per one-way flight itinerary. Continental may terminate this offer at any time without notice.

Travel-related: I was wondering if you had used all those VDB credits yet.

Professionally-related: I have been carrying with a Blackhawk SERPA Level 2 holster which wasn't originally intended for concealed carry. As I've lost weight, it's been a little harder to conceal (Tennessee allows open carry but I prefer fully concealed). Do you have recommendations for someone who tends to carry a standard (size of a Glock 21/22)?

My mother declined a nonstop to CUN and got herself EWR-IAH on the 772. Not having set foot on a 767 or 777, I have no choice but to be jealous. Teh Mom also haz Silver booked for the year; first time in 30-some years of being in the industry that she has ever earned status.

I prefer the 772; then again, SkyTeam USA has managed to make domestic F feel claustrophobic in a widebody.

You know there's an issue when SeatGuru says there are no good seats (but 10 borderline seats) in F. It feels constrained even with 4-5 more inches of pitch than most other domestic aircraft.

What a way to start a morning...

Look at my CO reward reservation this morning and two of the segments are gone. Poof. Gotta call 'em.

Ugh.
