I am super excited b/c I received the most handy dandy gift. A GPS! Now, if you know me, you might say that I am a bit, ummm....directionally challenged. (Are you laughing at me Scott6067!) Anyway, I love it. It gives directions such as "turn right, turn left...etc: instead of "head south on such and such" I like the explicit instruction. It lets you choose the colors on the screen and even have a little icon of a vehicle of your choice. (Ok, I know that is not super important...but hey, I like it) oh, oh...and it even lets you highlight special locations...mine is now set to notify me when I am near a winery!! ;)
So anyway I was super proud of myself b/c I just finished connecting it to the computer and downloaded whatever it told me to and think I have a pretty good grasp on using it. So, yay...I can't say I won't ever be a little off course when driving, but it does have a great little button that says...."where am I??" So, I'm looking forward to testing it out. That's all that is new in my little world. That is my positive endorsement of my new gadget.

I look forward to seeing people who are going to be in Austin this weekend. :-)
Have a super day.

Question is does it work? We will have to get a statement from the Otter to say that it is working! Along with the button for where am I? does it have an Otter button locator and a The Otter One's house button?

:) Guess I should start making sure that the house is cleaned up.

We're headed to Lockhart on a BBQ tour (what can I say, I had a craving).

There are still tickets available for the beer festival if you're going to be around town tomorrow.

Any customer-facing concern that does not have at least a few BlackBerry, Apple, and assorted cell phone charging cords isn't getting the job done, IMHO.

Nothing like being prepared.

Absosmurfly. ^ Charging a transient guest's electronics for them goes both ways. It is tremendously helpful for the guest, and anyone with half a brain will remember that. I'd also be lying if I said that it wasn't beneficial (in certain situations) to the employee. When I was at Borgata, there were CrackBerry fiends who tipped me $20 for a battery charge. Regardless, it creates the perception that the company, and by extension its employees, think a step ahead.

I asked at every hotel I stayed at this week if they either had a house charger, a rogue one left behind, or if an employee would let me leave my iPod for a quick charge behind the front desk.

In Tejas they 'ed at me. At the Westin St. Francis (amazing hotel) they :('ed at me. At the Hilton SFO last night they 'ed at me.

So. Over. Hilton.

I had the opposite problem behind the concierge desk. My demand for charging far exceeded my supply of outlets. There were days at Borgata that we had to keep a standby list and remember to rotate people's stuff off the chargers.

I still don't know how to reply to you directly, but this works I think. Yes, of course, the little GPS works. It shows me driving (and it's not where I have to figure out which direction I'm going unlike my little phone...which I think has some errors! lol The "where am I??" button most definitely works! I tested it out, of course. I would make a good tester-outter person on such devices. (Yes, I know that is a made up word)
I've only had it a very short while, but it's going to be my new bff!.
Yes, clean your home stat!, Please have some ice cream available...no nuts...oh and some chocolate. yes, that sounds good to me.

Could pick up one of those 15 outlet power bars, no?

One of the things I enjoy about Marriott is that almost all of their full service properties have the iHome alarm clock that has an iPod/iPhone cradle built in.

My recent posts outside teh box are reasons why CO shouldn't delay my flights. I seem to cause havoc when I'm idle. :o

Not without jumping through several hoops of , especially in Atlantic City. We also did not have the space behind that desk to keep such a thing incognito. If I had a front office to run for myself, I absolutely would. It's the little things that make people come back.

Hyatt has those too, but they don't provide enough juice to charge the suckas.

Lameo. I had to charge my iPood a couple of times during the Soccer DO because I would forget to lock the keypad, causing it to turn on and run down during travel.

Maybe they charge smaller iPods. I think my iTouch is a power hog.

Gotta keep those energy producers in business. ;)

For all of the Hyatt folks taking advantage of the AA promo, Hyatt appears to have swept some miles to AA overnight. I received the AA miles for the Footie Do weekend and earlier.

I just crossed over 1 million lifetime AA miles! :-:
