Morning, Box. Didn't hit the sack until 3:45 this morning, and I'm up now with another 1430-0100ish night ahead of me. 250pp wedding tonight, 200pp wedding tomorrow. Great for the debt, bad for the sleep. In a truly shocking twist, my employer extends the paid holiday concept to its hospitality division and I am on a paid day off Monday. |

Just read a news blurb about the finals of the National Geographic Bee which were apparently held the other day. The winning question was the identification of Cap-Haitien as the largest city in northern Haiti; I would NOT have known that.
I imagine we MUST have some people in here who did this in middle school, yes? (I remember it being nerve-wracking but rather fun - went to the OH state competition 2 years but never made the finals. Scored a nice atlas, a couple of savings bonds and other random prizes...) And, sadly, it is a STAGGERINGLY unbalanced activity in terms of gender lines - which is even more perplexing considering that the Scripps-Howard Spelling Bee, which is a similar type of thing (head-to-head competition, memorization, etc.), has been pretty close to even over the years. I would have thought that if one had to stereotype, that girls of that age are better at highly-disciplined-book-learning, no? |

Oh I'm feeling the 4 hours of bending over for sure right now:( Had to take a break and let it dry with showers possible later on. I get round two tomorrow. I did notice body-building son has faired well in the back department after his last trip to a new gym.
Just be careful with yourself -- you don't want to be stuck in bed, unable to move! May have to have a doc look at the knee if it doesn't improve -- I know it's a soft-tissue issue -- but it's definitely affecting my walking! |

Very cool. What do you think happened to her, by the way? Crash into the sea, end o' story?

Off to the supermarket since the food department here is esentially non-existant.

No surprise since your son is likely efficient at 'eating you out of house & home!' LOL!;)
