We have six nights in München and rates at the Le Meridien are fairly steep. Do we stay a couple of nights there and the rest at the Sheraton Westpark?

I'm really disappointed that there are no hotels within a short distance of MUC and that the ones that are charge a fee for a hotel shuttle :rolleyes:

I'm only familiar with the LM. How convenient is the Sheraton to the U or S-Bahn? I thought public transit in MUC was excellent (except when drunken Germans were setting off class-B fireworks inside the tubes on New Years Eve :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:).

I don't know anything about either property so I won't be a huge help, but have you looked in to reducing costs by using points and/or cash+points for some of the nights?

Illinois law provides that ties are to be chosen by drawing lots. Apparently, that has included coin flips, drawing straws, etc.

There is an S-Bahn station right by the Sheraton, of course it isn't one that goes to the airport :rolleyes:

The other option is the 4P Central which is right by the Hauptbahnhof and a 30 minute ride to the airport. I've read bad reviews but it appears that they have recently renovated the rooms.

I stayed at the Sheraton Westpark, there is an S and U station on the corner.

The airport is not really close to anything in MUC.

Is it a tricky or :rolleyes: transfer to the Airport S-Bahn line? If not, I'd go for it.

I've heard nothing but bad things about that 4P as well, but hadn't heard about the renovations. IIRC, MXP also has a ratty 4P that is best avoided.

That U-Bahn station may work, I think I could hop on there to the Hauptbahnhof and take the S1/S8 to the airport.
