That was your 19,000th post. Congrats!!!

Going from a 10" to 11" netbook makes a significant difference. Surprising what an extra 10% worth of screen real estate can do.

Why won't he complete one? Does he not trust the government? The Census has been around long before your cousin was born and will be around long after we're gone. to your cousin.

He won't say. He's a piece of work. Complains constantly about freeloaders on welfare and handouts but was laid off last year and has gladly accepted unemployment benefits ever since without doing much of anything toward finding a new full-time job.

If he's anything like my yokel cousins, all you need to do is tell him that they are going to charge for facebook if XXX,XXXX people don't fill out their Census forms.

Well, it's official - we will be leaving NJ and moving to Teh Pit in early June. Hopefully we can plan a small booze focused event shortly after our arrival! :-:

Sadly, my job search will continue in Houston...

I am sorry but I don't remember your specialty....I can keep an eye out for jobs, but my range is a bit north of yours in the pit. I still have a rather vast network of contacts and may be able to point you a direction if you can let me know the field.

and congrats on the move.... I think...that time of year is terrible in the pit.

Congrats on the move and good luck on the continued job search.

Can we have a small booze focused event before your departure?

There's a difference between using unemployment responsibly and mooching the system. I went 14 months and ran out the week before I got hired where I am now.

Agreed. And that's why I noted he has not done much of anything toward finding a new job.

Summers in Teh Pit would make me drink. ;) Congrats on the move, best of luck on the search.

Ahhhh. Got it.

I reached a point of trying where I thought giving up on my industry was a good move, but I don't think I ever gave up either searching or devoting time to figuring out what my next move might be if it wasn't in hotels.
