The current plan is to have a second reception for my mom's family and friends in BKK (which will be one of the honeymoon destinations anyway). One of said friends inherited one of the river palaces along the Chao Phraya (right across from one of the major temples) and my parents had their wedding there back in 1978. My mother told me specifically "to tell all your flyertalk friends about this - who knows, maybe some of them would be traveling there anyways"... (she's catching on!) I don't have a specific date yet (and won't until at least the fall, probably) but it will be sometime in late July 2011, and if any of you find yourselves in the BKK area, you would be most welcome at this party of epic proportions! |
