School just got cancelled for a second day in a row! Good thing I already had plans!! :)

A question for those who know the DC area. MissTeenBrit is going to look at GWU in DC in June. Which Hyatt Place would be the best one to stay at? Ease of getting into DC to the campus, etc. Would prefer to park the car at the hotel and take the train/metro into DC rather than drive.

posted on FB my travels for the next two days. A friend called and was like" What the hell? Did you take the FA position???" :)

Where have I heard that before??? Oh yea, when you convinced me to do the pty-mex run. Thank god, I need a diversion but wish the trip was now and not in a few weeks.

Guilty as charged. It was hot as sin when we were there in March. You are going to sweat your  off.

Not sure, but I remember from visiting friends at Georgetown that the GWU metro stop is called Foggy Bottom.

Which is better (random numbers, here...)
  • Do not replace windows. Sell house for 300K, netting 300K
  • Replace windows
at cost of 30K, sell house for 325K, netting 295K

Of course, I don't know your situation, but I DO know that realtors often will get you all in a frenzy to spend money that you won't see 100% return on in order to make your house more sale-able, thus shortening the time THE REALTOR has to represent seller --AND -- increasing REALTOR fee.just sayin' ;)

isn't there still some tax break for doing green things?

May is also rainy season. I found out earlier today that the special tour of the canal construction site fell through. :( (darn weekends)

The GWU stop is indeed Foggy Bottom. Don't know about specific Hyatt Places - would one of the closer-in Hyatt's work? Would have to pay for parking but would get diamond breakfasts ...

Hmmm. I guess I could try that. I could use one of my free suite upgrade certs, right? If I did that, would I still get the Stay 2, get 5000 points bonus? Do they have suites with 2 Queens?

I'm not really familiar with the ins'n'outs of the Hyatt program, so any pointers you can give me will be appreciated.
