Glad they got that covered. Good times for beer with OH. Now sitting outside on the back deck getting some work done. I tried over by the Mac store but the distractions were too great (and their skirts too short) for me to focus on actually working. And unlike most of my recent life I actually have real deadlines on this stuff and they are all very short. |

The Rewards Comprehensive Trip Protector from Access America provides the following benefits and coverage amounts per person: Trip Cancellation($300) provides reimbursement for prepaid, non-refundable expenses, up to the amount of coverage purchased related to trip cancellation caused by a covered reason. Trip Interruption($1500) offers reimbursement for the unused, non-refundable portion of your trip and increased transportation costs for you to return home due to a covered reason. Travel Delay ($500)provides reimbursement for meals and accommodations if your travel is delayed for 6 or more consecutive hours. Change Fee Coverage ($300)provides reimbursement for change fees in addition to Trip Cancellation/interruption expenses. Emergency Medical Transportation ($25,000)arranges and pays for the cost to medically transport you to an appropriate medical facility to receive care and to get you home after you have received care. Emergency Medical / Dental ($25,000)pays for the cost of emergency medical or dental care incurred while on your trip. ($50 deductible) 24-Hour Emergency Hotline(Included)- A broad range of services to help you 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world, whether you need emergency cash, flight information, legal assistance, a message sent home or help dealing with a medical emergency. Concierge (included)provides you with information about your destination before you travel and can help you select restaurants, reserve golf tee times or secure tickets to local events. Reading through the T&C Here, it seems to say Natural Disasters but I'm not a lawyer There is also this clause in the exclusions list on p14: "any problem or event that could have reasonably been foreseen or expected when you purchased your plan." If they chose to press the case they'd probably claim that you knew there was a volcano so they can deny it. Dunno if they'd win or not; at $300/day it probably isn't worth fighting. |

So Windcrawler(daughter) and SIL-2B are heading to the Green Isle for their honeymoon. Or as I'm calling it their, pub-crawling luv fest.
I have em flying BF into SNN on 8/10-assuming, that the spewing, erupting pile of gaseous cloud mass is behaving itself by then(if not I'll just avoid that forum) They will be there for 7 days/7 nights. Crawler as sent me her list of possible hotels which are; Clontarf castle Hotel - Dublin Brooks Hotel – Dublin City, Ireland The Morrison – Dublin, Ireland D4 Berkeley Hotel – Dublin The Roxford Lodge – Dublin Grand Canal Hotel _ Dublin Hampton Hotel - Dublin Royal Marine Hotel - Dun Laoghaire The Montenotte – Cork Clarion hotel – Cork The River Lee Hotel - cork Park House Hotel - Galway The G hotel – Galway The Amber House Hotel – Galway Westwood house hotel – Galway The Brehon – Killarney Lake Hotel – Killarney Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa – Killarney Limerick Strand Hotel – Limerick Absolute Hotel & Spa – Limerick Maldron Hotel – Limerick Anyone have any input-good or bad on her possible list? I don't haz that dot, heck, or country yet-so can offer no help Anyone have a sample itinerary that might offer them some guidance? 3rd Questions-wonder if that trip insurance thing might be worth it for this trip, hmmmmmm-it's only 50 bucks One last word of advise. Tell them to eat before 7 pm. The restaurants have set menus before 7 which run 15-20 Euros. After 7 the same meal (size and type) will run about 30 Euros each. We learned our lesson after the first night. My favorite place was The Shack Restaurant on 24 East Essex Street in the Temple Bar area. I highly recommend their early bird menu even though this is the place we at at late. |
