Your point about WN and the 737s on routes that only have RJs on other carriers is a good one. My issue with it is an example such as IAH-LBB. On CO it is non-stop. On WN I either have to change planes in DAL or stop in AUS. The trip ends up taking about twice as long as on CO, so the question is, is a two hour flight on an RJ more bearable than a 3.5-4 trip on a 737?

For some, perhaps. For others, perhaps not.

Southwest has seemed to require more one-stop/change of planes for intra-Texas routes than it used to, which, as you note, changes the equation a bit.

With apologies to those who attended Box Bowl

A buzzard walks up to the airline ticket counter with a dead possum and buys a one-way to Las Vegas.

The ticket agent asks "Would you like to check that, sir?"

The buzzard replies...

WWBD. It's restaurant week 'round here and teh Canuck and I managed to get reservations at one of the more difficult restaurants to get into. Problem is, SYR plays tonight.

Do we watch the game and do beer / pizza or go out to a nice supper (we've been to the place before).

Thoughts?

If it's restaurant X go. If someplace else I'd to the beer/pizza thing otherwise you'll probably BB surfing and not good company.

Should have looked at your link first - heard it was a great dinner this year!

Yeah, but I've got a goal in mind in regards to a Maldives redemption, which isn't terrible. And getting the Diamond benefits wouldn't be bad.

Then, I can status match over to SPG.

I'm just upset that I didn't know about the Diamond fasttrack promo earlier this year -- as I've already done 7 nights this year!:eek: So, I get to start on 15 nts, as of this morning!

If teh Canuck isn't a SYR fan, I'd take her our for the nice dinner and DVR the game. If she's a SYR fan as well, skip the nice dinner and enjoy beer, pizza and the game.

Hilton has the reduced rewards back again with a big selection. I'd go for the extra Diamond points you'd earn.

Yes. It is dirt cheap and easy to use, and I would recommend the subway over taxis (expensive and horrible traffic). I used the subway lines to navigate Seoul and was quite pleased with the entire experience.
