G'day box.

Spent the majority of the day repainting the back deck. Didn't get to lay the grass seed because teh Canuck knocked the bucket of paint down the stairs and all over our patio. That threw a :rolleyes: in the afternoon.

My wife and I cleaned our outdoor furniture and then went to take care of the driveway. One can of sealer wasn't enough :o so it was back to the Depot for more. Turns out that 2 cans is just barely not enough, too. :rolleyes:

I'm not going to get another bucket for that little bit, what I would like is a small bucket. I don't think they sell small, though. :rolleyes:

Made it to the terminal B PC. One guy was in a wheelchair making the UA-CO-?? connection DEN-IAH-CDG-BEY. He was pretty sure he missed the IAH-CDG and who knows what they'll do with him now. I give him a ton of credit for being able to travel like that being in a wheelchair, but damn, that can't be good at all. I hope he manages to convince CO to put him on OAL metal or otherwise get him over to Europe tonight. Still plenty of options, assuming he can convince someone.

I just willingly booked a Super 8 hotel room that I actually plan to sleep in.

And am checking in for a US 733 flight.

Greetings Box from Lorien (Kimpton) Hotel in Alexandria, VA. First stay here and I'm impressed. Small, but nice room. Walk-in shower only. HDTV mounted on wall. Free wireless. InTouch members gets two items from minibar, up to $10 value, free. Is Bavik (Belgian beer) any good?

Wine-tasting going on right now. Never an expert but the red wine was pretty good. They also have a strawberry smoothie - more punch-like than smoothie but good.

I would have done the grass seed as an "easy win". Just got back from watering the area of my lawn (e.g. "the front lawn") I had to reseed after the :rolleyes: of my neighbor's tree breaking my sewer line.

The Super 8 has a chance of being a reasonably acceptable experience.

My son writes left-handed, but does most sports right-handed!^ It did come in handy in soccer, as he could kick with both feet!:cool:

The reviews were pretty good and it was a third of the price of the Hampton, the only major branded property in town. I briefly considered the Best Western for the discount on golf but the discount wasn't enough to make up for the price difference in the rooms.

My last flight today, IAH-ORD, was apparently oversold but when I had the FA call up to the GA they said no. Whatever. I get to have a real dinner at least this way.

And that bus for A-B transfers at IAH sucks. Really bad. Waiting 5+ minutes for it to show up and having some cases of too full for more pax is awful. There's an EliteAccess line at B84 which is a bit of a help, but it is a mess.
