I've owed NJ a few times, and there have been a few years where my return was under $50, but this year was the ultimate insult. I just had to stroke a check for one dollar. The verbiage used in the NJ forms says no payment required for all sums less than one dollar. No, it doesn't say "One dollar or less"; we both re-read it.

I don't normally use the Memo section of my checks. That check, I did. Its contents:

I HATE NEW JERSEY.

I don't know, this team is so tough to get a handle on. I still think Lou and Marty have one more Cup in them, but I'm not sure about Lemaire. He seems unable to manage an offense. It seems like he's juggling the lines every game, and then during the game. Why do they seem to struggle on the PP with guys Elias, Kovalchuk, and Parise?
