+1; and yes, come and drink :D:D

too much drinking to be had for that to happen.

Holy crap. How many people were involved? There really should be a cap of 16 teams just so there are enough decent starting players to go around. Also, I've got draft software that helps minimize the silliness, including a five minute limit on picking players. All we need is a laptop (no issue) and a projector (rental fee if no one has one).

We had a 10 team league-- the deepest leagues have 12-- and allowed 3 minutes per team per round for the first 8 picks and 2 min/team/rd for the last 8. We also had a 30 minute intermezz:rolleyes:

I think you'd be a fine commish. Also, has anyone put any thought into having a life draft and then loading it into Yahoo Fantasy? That's what I've always done and it works very well. I've also got a set of fairly balanced scoring we can use as well.

+1

I prefer ESPN standard scoring, no PPR nonsense please

I'm a Yahoo Fantasy adherent, and was going to set the league up there anyway unless someone raised a major stink. I'm a fan of an entry fee, followed by a per-transaction fee. The total pot is 60/30/10 to the top 3.

I would probably just buy the 2GB model (also comes with 250 GB HD instead of 160).

She went with 1GB/160GB. She did, however, earn 1200 OP miles.

Just a warning about the netbook. If you do any serious typing, you will find the netbook's keyboard to be sorely lacking. I own a hospital supplied laptop (ThinkPad) and an Acer netbook. When I am on the road with intentions of doing lots of report writing, the 15 pound laptop comes with me, but if it's only for basic letters or e-mail, the little netbook comes along. If the fiancee is using the netbook for anything other than e-mails, be sure you give the net book a good test ride.

How close are Yahoo standard and ESPN? And also, 12 team max, but 10 would be better IMHO.

Ok, I need to give a shout out and vote of thanks to:

FT Lurker
Rolov
ALCO
Windwalker
sbm12

and whoever else went on the last PTY-MEX trip.

I had tasked FTLurker with taking "Flat LittleMissBrit" along with him for a school project (those of you with 2nd graders will no doubt be familiar with "Flat Stanley").

FT Lurker had to (a) take care of Flat LittleMissBrit (b) ensure she was not overly exposed to rampant drunken hooligans aka ALCO, et al! :D:D:D and (c) take lots of photos in interesting places.

He did a magnificent job - and his photos, along with Rolovs, are now adorning a poster board and will be hanging in the school corridors tomorrow ready for OpenDay next week!

Yay! for FTLurker and his band of merry men in PTY-MEX.

Thanks, guys, for being such good sports!

. That is all.

Not a big fan of the transaction fee, I support the entry fee though.

I like it. Probably need something to cover the costs of the meeting room rental and projector as well. I can call some Marriott sales groups and see how far the ol' Plat card will take me.

Do all of the people who are interested in fielding a team have 2.0? I'll start a voting thread over there.
