I looked a two ABC stoes. I thought they would have a cheap pair of boxers with "JUICY" or HOTTIE" printed on the back, but I could not find any :p

The only issue I have with self-checks is that some people don't have the above-room-temperature IQs required to operate them.

This makes my day. Apparently a long time ago I helped a coworker solve an issue he was having with a client at work, and as a result, he nominated me for an awards program we have in the company. I just got an e-mail from my old team manager stating it had come to her for approval, since she was my team manager at the time, and she had approved it, and that I'd be seeing a bonus on my next check for the award. It's not any huge amount of money or anything, but a very nice gesture, and a nice surprise that comes at a time when I've been feeling increasingly frustrated at work. This nomination came from the same guy who originally told me about this job five years ago, and submitted my resume, and basically got me to the right people so I'd get an interview. Despite some of the negative things that have come down the line at work in the last 18 months, it's really nice to have such amazing coworkers.

My annual bonus should be on the next check as well. Going to be nice to offload some old debt that I've been slowly paying down when that payday happens.

I successfully peed in a cup. Said pee should not have anything in it to cause them alarm. The tech told me that the screens come back "in a few minutes", and such surprised me. Then I remembered the real purpose of the company at which I was hired, and said "I keep forgetting that it's a science company. You probably x-rayed me on the way in and I didn't know it." Said tech did not seem amused.
