This makes my day. Apparently a long time ago I helped a coworker solve an issue he was having with a client at work, and as a result, he nominated me for an awards program we have in the company. I just got an e-mail from my old team manager stating it had come to her for approval, since she was my team manager at the time, and she had approved it, and that I'd be seeing a bonus on my next check for the award. It's not any huge amount of money or anything, but a very nice gesture, and a nice surprise that comes at a time when I've been feeling increasingly frustrated at work. This nomination came from the same guy who originally told me about this job five years ago, and submitted my resume, and basically got me to the right people so I'd get an interview. Despite some of the negative things that have come down the line at work in the last 18 months, it's really nice to have such amazing coworkers.

Didn't want to go commando???

I was going to do that the next morning if we did not get out bags. I was going to purchase a cheap pair of swim trunks and just wear them.

Since we got our bags back at 3am, I did not need the $32 undies and will return them in HNL when we go back there on saturdays.

^^^^ Very cool!

Anyone have experience with webcasting an event live? I have a client asking about it.

Does UA authorize incidental spend the way CO does? CO used to be $50/day for elites up to 5 days at which point the bags were fully gone and you could claim replacement costs.

On UA's BS claim report they printed :-:G in big letters on the top of the form. I would have thought they could have issued us a few bucks to purchase some items until we receive our bags.

The Conrad Hong Kong was great!

Last time I had a bag issue as a UA *G, I was without my bag overnight (although <24 hours, barely). During the morning, when I called UA, compensation wasn't offered to me orignially, but when I asked for it, they put me down for $30 or so, which was given as a check in the mail after a couple of weeks.
