When did it close? Or has it no yet.

It closed Monday.

I hate the REN Harborview.

I like the JW, but prices are too high for me to justify.

My mom stayed at the airport Marriott and gave it a ^, but not really convenient.

SPG wise; I'm not a huge fan of the Sheraton, the suite rate is too high (I tend to book one room as a suite, the other as a regular room hoping for a suite upgrade).

Le Meridien isn't close to anything, though they too have a shuttle.

W is moderate, but not really what I need for this trip.

CY seemed the best out of all the above; low priced for room, reasonable for a suite, I know the area so I have no issues getting around it.

I'm not a huge fan of staying in Kowloon, but it can be convenient.

Just saw someone driving around town with a fresh-cut Christmas tree attached to their roof.:rolleyes:

Thanks! I really should have gone to the doctor earlier in the week. How:rolleyes: of me... If it still hurts when we get home on Sunday, I will definitely make an appointment for next week. At this point, I'm just hoping nothing is broken.

Well worth checking it out; you never know and you may need to be doing something different than you are now.

Wouldn't that be a fresh-cut aluminum pole?

I was thinking "vernal equinox," myself. Are there druids in Rockland County?

IAH-ROC is coming up as $90 o/w for various dates.

Sad to see the Ren Kowloon closed. It's always been a good deal despite spotty service. I can't justify the JW Hong Kong.

Oh, come on. US$375/night is perfectly reasonable. :D

I was thinking it was a Hasidic with a great sense of humor.

TX is even better. Fill out you federal income taxes. Done.:D

I was comparing to the two years I had to file part-year NY returns. What a PITA.

The only issue I have with self-checks is that some people don't have the above-room-temperature IQs required to operate them.

Need to confirm with Teh Box... Is possible to make an HHonors Reward Booking directly from your account for another person when you yourself will not be staying on the reward? I know this is doable with SPG, and assume it is possible with HHonors, but wanted to make sure (didn't see anything in teh HHonors Redemption T&Cs that appear to prohibit it).

Time for lunch...

Corey, I UPSed the ipood to you today, and sent you a paypal for the cash. Until you figure out how to rename it I named it, "The Whataburger Express" just for you.

Tu Bishevat (Jewish Arbor Day) already happened, otherwise I would have made a stupid joke about it already.

I wanted to do somewhat the same thing for a room for me and my GF. She would have been arriving before me, and wanted to make sure she could check-in w/o waiting for me. The reply from HHonors:

Dear Mr. unkfrank,

Thank you for your message to Hilton Reservations and Customer Care. It is my pleasure to assist you today with your inquiry.

You may either add your friend to the reservation and as a secondary on the certificate or you may just make the reservation in her name. If you already have the certificate, as long as you are going to be arriving, you can leave that in your name only and we can just add her name to the reservation so that she may check in. To reserve your reward reservations online, please follow the steps provided below. Please note that HHonors Points will be deducted from your balance and a Reward Certificate will be issued at the time of booking confirmation.
ETA: If it matters, I asked this in early January '10, and was just a Silver at the time.
