Anyone have experience with a computer hardware recycler? Now that the fiancee has her netbook, we want to dispose of her old laptop in a method other than municipal garbage.

Dell will do their products for free. Whatever you do, make sure you wipe the hard disk first.

YIKES. I've actually never had a warning. Pulled over twice, tickets both times. Neither for speeding. Both under extremely annoying circumstances. Once was last year for allegedly going through a red light (and I will defend to the death the fact that I didn't actually do so), and the other was for an "illegal left turn". I was 16 and stupid, and I honestly didn't think what I was doing was wrong. It was a block from my house and people did it DAILY. When I got busted, it was 9 AM in the middle of the week in the summer - absolutely no other cars in sight - and I was going well under the speed limit. No imminent danger. Seemed to me like that would be a good candidate for a warning (particularly having heard the stories from my HS classmates about getting pulled over for speeding 8-9 times already and never actually getting a ticket)...no dice.

Mine is $63 a month, and that's a steal in NJ.

Mine's $67, and yes, it is a steal. Particularly coming from Louisiana where it was close to double that (something about 25% of the drivers there being uninsured...)

Well, speaking of driving, in the car I go. Hopefully none of the above things will happen. Stamford, CT for a Mozart Requiem gig that I'm doing basically as a favor - getting my travel expenses reimbursed, but that's it. Oh well, at least it's a nice day and really, really, really good music. :)

And your opinion of the schedule is...?

Well....I do get to be the first one to pick a schedule (I have the most seniority of the part timers) and this was the best one available for my needs. What I would have preferred is one with more hours during the day and less days at work. As far as picking between the gates and baggage service- baggage service has much less drama and I get to sit down.

Glad to here it works out well for you! I look forward to see you in two weeks and then again 1.5 weeks later!! I decided to stay over Sunday evening as I dont have work on Monday and had to switch flights to come in later that Friday and not get any city time that day! Now to rally the friends not traveling with me and party in SFO on that Sunday!

I use to get pulled over all the time in Hawaii. But I never received a ticket since I knew most of the cops on the beat. :D If I was in my work uniform it was always the best because the cop and I would spend a few minutes chit chatting about who he knew at work. Driving thru Waikiki at 4:30am was always interesting because that's when the bars would close and the cops were always on the look out for drunk drivers.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/4.7.1.40 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

There were UA gate lice standing in the red carpet when I got to the gate. Ten minutes before the inbound arrived.

And 73 of the pax on this flight are connecting on to CO metal via IAH. Too bad we are 40 minutes late and a bunch will misconnect with that awful transfer process.

I have not managed said feat. Then again my car insurance is $31 a month for a reason.

I'm running about $55/mo in Chicago. That's with something like $300K liability, $500 deductibles on collision/comprehensive. We're with GEICO.

I always love when I get the ads from other insurance brokers locally telling me how much I can save*. I'm tempted to call one of them and tell me that based on their claimed savings, they'll be mailing me a check.

*On average, of course

So that just means you're willing to get by with the state minimums for coverage. I've never been ticketed -means very little in my rate.

Actually have at least 2.5 times the state minimum on all line items; the incremental cost is pretty much negligible.
