On another note, the two flts that I had to get rebooked this past weekend - ended up in Y -- so extra EQMs!^ I can use all the help I can get -- in that area!;):D

Absolutely. I took FULL advantage of this trying to get into and out of DC during the insane snow weekend in the beginning of February. And yes, I'll take any Y-rebook gladly!! (it always seems to happen on the really short flights though :p)

And no plastic cups to be found anywhere on the airplane. The quick service may have been made easier by the mid-cabin galley on the 727-100s that flew many of those flights.[/LIST]

Oh, honey roasted peanuts. Yum. I remember these from childhood. ...And then came the regular peanuts, and then came the pretzels (one of the foods I am almost NEVER hungry enough to actually want to eat - and that's not just on airplanes - they hold absolutely no appeal for me!)

I slept through this. No kidding. Granted, we were in PSP at the time, but still... so yes, now when I say "I could sleep through an earthquake" - I mean it. :p

tjtenor4 is in love with his HTC Touch Pro. He had a Treo before that, and stated, when shopping for this new one, that keeping WinMo was a non-negotiable. I mean, admittedly, the new phone is pretty nice - kind of feels like a Windows iPhone - but...oh well. To each his own.

I don't think I know anyone (at least, anyone with whom/with whose phone I interact significantly) on Android.

I might be interested in helping your partner dispose of his phone with proper compensation of course. ;)

Oops sorry about that. I forgot you had a Windows Mobile device.

And I'll let you know when he decides to get rid of the iPhone 3GS. Hopefully it will still be working. We haven't had the best of luck with the reliability of that phone. This past Saturday we had to go back to the Apple store yet again for a problem. This time the phone was refusing to read his SIM card. We knew it wasn't the SIM card, as we pulled it out and put it in my Nexus One and it booted right up, connected to AT&T's network, and we made a call with it. The Apple store was (a) surprised we knew what a SIM card was or how to access it on the iPhone and (b) shocked that the problem could be with the phone as opposed to the SIM card (apparently you're not supposed to know how to remove a SIM card on an iPhone, and iPhones are never supposed to break — insert multiple :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:  here). Anyway, they tested it, and sure enough, it was the phone, so we walked out with a new one. This is iPhone number three since August. Granted, the first one was left in a New York taxi cab and never seen again, but we've also had a couple of other issues with the first two handsets, before the second one just totally quit working last Friday.

On the bright side, the screen on the replacement one does seem a lot better than the one on the previous handset, which was getting a little dim, even when at full brightness.

I know. :) But you're right. If you look at the daily fluctuations of any given security constantly and you're not day-trading it to make quick gains, you're doing nothing but asking for early ulcers.

I was very disappointed with Nassau. I remember thinking it was just like downtown Newark, but with palm trees.

Wonder if channa hates Apple for their rah-rah attitude too.

Moderately famous comedian Jim Norton has had problems with the iPhone to the point that he started going to a different Apple Store in NYC, eschewing the one close to his apartment. He had reached the point of anger toward his iPhone that when he was going to his regular store, he was convinced that the staff saw him coming and would give him a bad handset just to see what would happen.

Si.

Just sent a PM to CO In Cider regarding my perceptions on their trying to sell me an upgrade when I was on a B fare and why I booked on B6 and canceled my CO trip. Curious to see how/if they use this data point for anything other than thinking I'm a .

I'm not a fan of the pretzels either. I love good pretzels — the big kind, fresh out of the oven, but the little mini pretzels and mini pretzel sticks CO has been serving lately don't cut it. I especially hate it when that's all CO can offer in domestic F. CO's domestic F meals are still, IMO, the best overall in the US, and they have one of the most generous meal-time policies on serving them. However, if you don't get the meal, they offer the same thing as in Y, just with free booze and it comes in a real glass. The snack baskets on other airlines at least offer some variety, including whole fruit if you want something a little healthier to munch on.

I rarely eat CO's pretzels. Every once in a while I will, but 95% of the time, I just decline them from the FA.

Well, I 'lucked' out this past w/end -- of the two rebooks -- one was long (IAH-EWR) & the other was IAH-COS!;)

It helps to have ADD!;) (most 'professional' traders that I know & have worked with, do!:D) I don't quite have the 'touch' I used to have when I was in front of screens all day long! (another job, another life!;))

Love it when Craigslist transactions are easy. So often they're not. Less than 24 hours after listing a broken computer, a working but outdated computer, and a box of assorted computer parts, cables, and old software for $75 on Craigslist (wanted at least $50 for it), it's out my door right when the guy said he'd be here, and I've got $55 in cash in my wallet for it. And, he had no issue finding our place, which is good. Mapquest and many GPS navigation units have our address in the wrong place. This guy didn't call because he was lost; he called when he was at the gate waiting to be let in. That's how it should be done.

Now it's time to list some more junk we don't want anymore and try to get it out of here before a potential relocation that may be happening next month.

Is it wrong to e-mail yourself an itinerary that has 4 UA flights on the outbound to present at a conference (BNA-ORD-ORF-IAD-BOS)? The fifth segment "Is Not Possible" on this date for the itinerary.
