Thanks, that's what I figured. I'll have to wait until my preferred lower 48 routing is available.

I must say, it's pretty  that DL only gives Plats 2 waivers/year...

As a traveling party of one, I used one of mine last year on December 29 for a flight on December 30th (to avoid the massive delays and security  in AMS). I still have to implement one of mine for the trip to NRT I booked on the upper deck of the 747, then immediately realized I had a speech at the same time. Waiting to see if there's a flight schedule change that would allow a free re-deposit ;)

I'd change my flight to stay. But then again, I'm a Cavs fan :).

As it stands right now, I'm coming home Thursday night, then back out early Saturday morning. However, everything is fully fungible, I just need to be at IAH for CO7 at 10:45a on Saturday.

Domestic. Changing the routing of the return portion of a future trip that has not yet started. I want to change my return from ANC-SEA-SLC-EWR to ANC-[AS milk run]-SEA-ATL-EWR. Class of service and mix of carriers would be the same. I'm just not sure if DL counts this as a reissue or if they can make the change without a reissue.

I agree with icurhere2. It would be a re-issue. If you are dead set on preserving the free changes and if the trip is far enough in the future, you will find that schedule changes are very frequent on the SLC-ANC route. Even if that change is only a few minutes, you can usually make up a good enough story to get an agent to make the change for you gratis. And for a PM, they frequently override any lack of availability to get you straight.

However my experience on exactly that route and that change comes from shortly before the Plat free changes were instituted. By "gratis," I mean without the change fee that was in place at that time so YMMV.

Three of my flights have indeed changed but the longest is by 25 minutes ...

That shoudl be enough. Try it with the 25 making up some story about being picked up if you are going to be 25 minutes later, meeting somebody in the airport during the change if that time is shrunken. Any bubber-meister might do the trick. :)

And then demand compensation?

If you want to meet on Wed or Thurs, I have a couple of FTers coming in tonight from Oz and if they are up to it, I will call for a FT dinner somewhere around Fort Lauderdale or Pompano.

I didn't ask why he was buying his jersey but I assume for family? Either way...it was awesome. Great random moment.

^ 28th or 29th would work for me!

I've rebooked, I'm now on the 5:35am ORD-IAH on Saturday.

By the time I get home from Tokyo on March 26, it will be 33 days since I've seen my apartment. Not a record, but close. I guess I can expect a few more terse emails from the manager at the UPS store regarding a prodigious heap of mail.

I am waiting on one appointment time to lock in before I can set a firm schedule, but I will be getting in about 4:45pm at FLL, so Wednesday(24th) night barring delays could work for me.
