I wonder how they calculated that $100 as I'm already on a B fare. And yes, it does rather toast my muffin that they're offering to sell folks the last seat when I'm on an insta-upgrade fare that they won't let me upgrade.

I got a similar offer for a flight next week where I am on a B fare ($300 or 15,000 miles). I assume that $100 is the fare differential between B and Y in your case.

It's a capacity-controlled insta-upgrade fare. It would be nice if they had better waitlist management for B- and M-ups that don't clear.

baglady, I found two sets of CO luggage stickers today while cleaning out my files. Would bl jr. want them?

I assume that it's tacky.

In the context of VZW, is the 9630 a meaningful upgrade over the 8830?

Very much so.

That sucks, especially the 15K miles part. I'm guessing the $100 is just the fare difference to F.

Can one reasonably carry the amount of dollar coins that would cover a Boxer's drink tab in a day?;)

Yes, so long as said drinking is all in a PClub. ;)

Right. Because don't mileage upgrades come out of the same buckets as B fares?

Evening, Box.

I weep for the future of the American legal system.

That is all.

Absolutely! ^ Thank you for thinking of her!

Yeah. The mileage upgrade is an R bucket (same as EUA). The B-Up is from ZE which tracks very close to Z which is a revenue bucket.

Send a PM to the Insider or are you on his ignore list ;)

So if there's EUA's available why didn't I get one (I'm well within my window)?

I just took a look at Nexus One, and I'm not a fan of touchscreens. It's not that I'm tied to BB, but I would rather stay with it just because BBM is lightyears better than texting. For some reason, Connection is unhappy with her 8330 and I would like to keep her in the RIM device family.

I don't think I've ever used BlackBerry Messenger on any of the RIM devices I've owned.

The newer BlackBerries have much better screens, faster processors, more memory, better cameras, and much improved software. I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade. I'm still partial to the Nexus One over any of the RIM devices right now, especially for users who aren't using the device to access a corporate e-mail system, but if you want to stay with Verizon and RIM, definitely upgrade to the Tour or Tour 2 if it's available. I wish I could dump the 8830 they gave me at work. It's junk compared to the new stuff.

Off to get bl jr ready for bed, and then I'm out. Being around kettles all day wears me out. G'night boxdom!
