I noticed flight 348 (EWR-SFO) was diverted to CLE to refuel, seems odd so early in the flight, anybody have a guess as to why?

Planned fuel stop due to flight path routing, aircraft type (900), higher flight plan to avoid turbulence plus strong head winds.

I won't say more then.

Keep posting. I plan on watching him anyway since I love to watch him skate. I love spoilers.

Yummeh!

Sounds delicious!^

...Also, do you remember the name of the wine you selected at La Griglia? We've been looking for it but have yet to locate it.

It was from Solena Cellars in the Carlton-Yamhill area of the Oregon Pinot Noir wine country.

It was pretty good but did you get to taste the Benton-Lane Oregon Pinot Noir that we got at Kroger's and downed at baglady's party? That one was superb and I suspect that you might find it if there is a Kroger's in Austin. It has a red and white label that sort of looks like a large postage stamp.

There are similar fares out there for many more miles. IIRC carsonheim found a CLL-IAH-EWR-HKG in B in July for around 1400. Between a cheap positioning run and the B fare, Is Possible can haz Silver in one trip.

Interesting!^

I can understand delaying the Olympic TV coverage during the week but not on the weekend. I have to wait until 8pm local time to see him skate, delayed.

You've got to be kidding me. You're in the same time zone. Big fail to NBC as usual.

Interesting. Is that 'normal' this time of year?

unkfrank Feb 13, 2010 8:04 pm

Sure was good of the IOC to put some covers over the exposed posts for the luge...

Winner, thank you! And no, I don't think we got to try the Pinot that you got at Kroger. Unfortunately we don't have Kroger up here but Specs has it so I'll pick up a bottle next time we're there.

I thought about somthing like that, but it's ALOT of flying after a 16 hour flight.

I have a 10% off coupon with CO and I will most likely buy the B fare and redeposit my business class award.

Cool!^

If you could make the luge run like bumper bowling (but keeping a luge-like speed) I'd like to do that run.
