We can wean you off the Cosmos and Margaritas by slowly introducing you to dark rum. The hint of sweetness that lingers from the molasses smooths it out and with just a little soda and lime juice, it becomes something that a starter can really like. :p

A few weeks of that and then we can get you to the cognacs, single malts, and single batch bourbons. But first you need to get that job so you can pay for that sort of stuff. Good luck tomorrow. ^

Wow, the monitor patch really sounds effective. ^

For the record, I have never consumed a Cosmo. I do like 'ritas. I have had rum punches containing dark rum (notably the house rum punch at The Cove in Deerfield Beach) and enjoyed them, but my day-to-day pick is a vodka mixer of some sort.

Thanks for the good wishes. :-:

I'll have to give that a whirl. I have a bottle of that and I've been trying to figure out what to mix it with.

sbm12, just got your pm. The Office was on and I was preoccupied for 30 minutes. Did you get any?

Nope. No worries, though. It was just OK at 3cpEQM and those aren't horribly rare. And I had done some searching first so I think it was already gone when I sent the PM. Plus I don't always need same-day Saturday turns. And there is plenty of year left...

I've heard that Grey Goose Pear is excellent, and I love Absolut Peach.

That reminds me that I want to hit the beer warehouse and see if they have any Ommegang Witte.

They still make Zima in Japan, if you're looking for a vacation destination. ;)

Me, too. Though my "mixer" is usually a couple ice cubes and a slice of lime. :p

There are plenty of ways to drink clear liquors that don't wrap around pear flavored vodka.

Exactly, in fact I find that fruit vodkas repulsive.

Agree, but I am really hoping for another DEQM during the same period UA has run them for the past few years. Also a lot better than my LGA-IAH-SEA runs I was paying $240 for.

My mother gave me a set of five flavored minis for Christmas. My choices were pear, vanilla, lemon, grapefruit, and raspberry. Fiancee had the raspberry.

I had a few fruit flavors before, citron is only good for cooking, raspberry I had to mix it was terrible.
