Good Afternoon, Box

After that meeting, a decision would be made if the person deserved a form letter signed by the Front Office Manager that essentially apologized for not meeting their expectations and inviting them to take their business elsewhere. They knew that the letter would make the person not come back, and they looked at it as marginal analysis: the loss of one crankypants guest is less expensive than having to comp away stuff that might not be deserved. Brilliant, if you ask me.

There are always going to be those customers that in the final analysis are not worth keeping. I have a few accounts that have only 1 or 2 licenses, yet the demands they make are unbelievable. I have one account that seriously questions why they cannot have their own dedicated support person on call. They have a total of 2 users. This is among their more outrageous demands but not their only one. My manager has told me we will not be renewing their contract even if they ask to.

Propane and propane accessories status: acquired.

Time to get ready, taking Mrs. Mackie to dinner at Perry's.

I've stayed at both and will be staying at the Aloft again w/o Feb 22. The 4P isn't bad though. Just avoid the Sheraton near CLT at all costs. The hotel itself isn't bad, but you might want to hire an armed guard to escort you to your car at night. I stayed here about 2 years ago and all four nights there was some sort of loud disturbance in the parking lot, followed by the arrival of half a dozen police cars.

Hiya Box -

Home from the NY alps. A nice walk in the woods and for the 10 minutes the sun was out it was actually gorgeous. Not much snow up there but I suppose that makes the walking easier.

No, I never actually made it into Lake Placid proper. It's a few miles beyond where I was and I wasn't in the mood to deal with the expected parking issues in the village.

In theory, it should work, but honestly if you really want to go to Hawaii, I wouldn't screw with it.

UA is generally better with these kinds of things, but unless I *had* to, i wouldn't do it personally.

I won't try any SDC then.

There shouldn't be any problem with making a change like this. Each segment stands alone and changes do not screw things up, except that your ticket will need to be synched since you want to change from a one city to a two city thingy. A ticket counter agent will need to help you with this transaction.

I don't thint we are going to try for a two city thingy. I wanted EWR-IAH-SFO for more miles and the 767, but we wont get into SFO early enough to connect to the UA flight to HNL, so that's a no go now. We will just hope for a transcon EUA :-:

This looks like a place that could be a likely candidate for Thursday dinner before the *wood DO. I also heard something of a place called Olivia's that came highly recommended for a really outstanding and interesting wine list. :-:

Or we could buy a mountain of steaks and give the new grill at Chez Mackieman a real workout. :D

I concur.
