Not completely true. I have done the exact same thing (more than once), and the unknowledgeable agent let me order the pack. The miles posted, my credit card was charged and after about 3 weeks the miles were deducted, and the money redeposited to my credit card. Might come handy when ordering an award. And yes, it is possible to have a negative account balance.

Order my Prestige Pack today, the miles hit before I was off the phone! But they said it would take 4 weeks for me to get it. Anyone else seen getting theirs quicker??

each time I've used a certificate from the privlege pack recently (such as $99 companion or $100 off ticket) I've had to call it in for the reservation, which is on hold until you MAIL THE CERTIFICATE IN at which time they apply the certificate. I end up using certified mail so it's cost me $5 each time.

All in all the privlege pack is ending up to be more like an inconvience pack. Although the 7500 miles that came with the pack were the best bet for me.

The dollar off certificate, is that something I can use to book at co.com or is only call in or go to airport kind of thing?

Reason I ask is that I'm flying fairly soon and don't know when my Prestige Pack was coming. Wondering if OnePass can give me the ID # of these certs over the phone so that I can book my itinary now.
Any update on this?. I have some upcoming CO travel very soon that I'd like to use the discount cert. Is co.com a possibility?

Question Prestige Pack coupon application question

Received my Prestige Pack 8 days after I had ordered it, although miles posted immediately. The coupons have to be ordered from a printer to have OnePass member's name printed on each coupon, so takes a few days.
Seems like a very good deal!
Interestingly, the "Membership Guides" are dated April 2002!

In any case, my questions relate to use of the $99 companion & $$$off coupons: there don't appear to be extensively detailed and/or many restrictions to their use, compared to the "Chase Worldcard" coupons.
Can one apply the coupons at the co.com website? I have flights reserved on co.com right now, so what is the procedure to apply the coupons? Is there a service fee charged for using them?

no, i don't believe so. have the record locator and call CO.O.L web support at 800-300-1547. tell them about the coupon you are using. they will give you an address to mail the coupon.

Doesnt this blow your EQM's since you book over the phone? That happened to me last year with a Chase certificate.

that's why i recommended calling the internet support desk. they can note in your record that you booked it on CO.O.L. when you get the lousy EQMs, you can then call OnePass and they will adjust your miles.

A few posts have mentioned that the "year" between packs is 12 months- has anyone ever been told it's a calendar year, instead?

Thanks.

Prestige Pack

Well for many people the 99.00 companion fare is woth it. Of course you still have to pay taxes on the fare not the 99.00 but whatever fare the person you are traveling with chose! So it is really 99.00 plus taxes, all TAXES.
The other certificate is a dollar certificate depending on the fare you choose.

So most people will pay for those two things. If you are into using upgrades for hotels and cars then it is an added benefit. The leather is cheap but it doesn't look like plastic and it has about ten spaces to hold ID and credit cards, and passport. For traveling it is not bad. You can get one each year and really for the added one pass mile bonus and the companion ticket and the discounted ticket, IMO it's worth it.

Can the $100 off certificate be used with any published fare (including the deeply discounted fares)?

i think this question has already been posed and answered in this thread. it is supposedly restricted to certain fare classes but i never been denied. also, its supposedly only for the continental US but a couple of years ago i used it for a hawaii (HNL) trip and wasn't denied. YMMV (your mileage may vary).
