Looks like you are on our flight! Are you in Y or C?

As for a get-together, have plans for the 2nd but could do drinks, I suppose. 3rd would work.

Yes as I reported there is a TON of space in row 20 on the new UA 3 class 767s. Also has the Biz class stype pop up PTV screens etc.

Also as FA's keep everyone out of E+ unless they pay for it, all the forward rows are near empty .. or they were on my flights. As you can see.

A tip .. as I has no seatmate both ways clearly I could sit wherever I wanted.

HOWEVER the window seat IS a lot colder than the aisle as I quickly discovered!

I'm currently back a row in the middle in 8C. I'm with you on C vs. Y (I'm going to have to borrow that quote).

I love Oz, but he's mad if he thinks I'm going to spend 20 hours in Y...even 1/4 full Y!!!!

Get roubles - the operative word is "some". Most places would not accept USD, or if they would, it would be at a horrible exchange rate.

Assuming you have a debit card, you can easily get cash on arrival from any ATM.

Thanks. There doesn't appear to be any big desire for USD, as there is in other countries. I will get my roubles!

April 23-27, looks like there is a group of us staying at the Sokolniki. I'm thinking of putting together a meet/greet meal, or another FT activity.? PM me if interested.

JenGal - I look forward to meeting you and your +1.

PenaltyNON-REFUNDABLE APEX FARE

...for the princely sum of about 454 USD. As you can see, it's a same day turnaround flight, so I should have been clear with out the visa (per the TWOV rules).

The astute readers will notice the time... supposedly I'd be on that flight now. Sadly, the front agent in BOS refused to issue me boarding passes for any part of this flight. Now what do I do?

On what basis, you can see through out this thread, a visa is not required, per the United Rules, have her check with operations.

If they didnt let you board due to the visa, you deserve the DEQM, Miles, and your money back.

You can add me to the list also. I'll be leaving from IAD, April 29th and arriving in DEM the 30th.

They wouldn't check me in for the going and returning legs at the same time, therefore their line of reasoning was I'd have to leave the international area of the airport (DME) to get the boarding pass, hence needing a visa. They wouldn't (couldn't?) check me in to go as far as IAD and try there, either

Edit: For clarification, my itinerary had 3 "parts": BOS-IAD-DME, then DME-IAD, then IAD-BOS (5 hour layover, figure I'd walk around DC a bit)

Did you ask for a refund? If so, what did the agent say?
Have you called UA for a refund/re-schedule?

This is going to get interesting.
