Where's the FT spirit? The two events are not mutually exclusive. Boo Doo until Monday. Fly back to NYC just in time for the *A DO on Tuesday. Perfect. In fact, a real FTer would fly back from BCN on Tuesday and head directly to the festivities at EWR. ;)

:o Ah, yes. The FT spirit flame continues to burn, but the smoke from the smoldering wallet is overpowering at the moment. Who knows. Having a tweakable 1K award helps and depending on the *A DO itin/costs, it may all be doable down the road.

Anyway, why does it have to be an either/or? We're going to Andorra first, and then *A DO second :)

Because I have 5 weeks of vacation booked this year, all on awards, - so no vacation time with a very real job loss looming.

True, but it's not every week behind-the-scenes tours are available at facilities in four different countries and the opportunity to have Randy & mods as FAs. That's pretty special.

Ultimately, Boo Doo VI will be easier on the wallet.

I can now confirm that despite a medical problem, I have been given permission to travel as my condition will be okay by then so I'll be there!

^ Terrific news. Looking forward to seeing you, but hopefully before October.

Curiosity finally got the better of me, alanw, and I clicked the link in your signature ... and hey, yet another previously undiscovererd (by me, anyway) dimension to FT!

I've really no idea what sort of thing(s) go(es) on at Boo Doos, or what sort of folks they attract, but curiosity is once again stirring in my innards, and Andorra certainly appeals - like many others, I've never got around to visiting the place yet.

I'm definitely thinking about this one, but just a couple of points, if anyone can help:

(1) Normally in (early) October, some pals and I head off to the Oktoberfest in Munich, but I could probably persuade them that Andorra would be just as interesting - or even more so. So, would a bunch of Glaswegian lads (tea-total, of course ;)) be acceptable guests (most of whom are not FTers, but some would sign up, I'm sure)?

(2) Do folks think that FTers would tolerate, in their midst, an intelligent, sophisticated, yet rather sad and lonely schizophrenic? (Apologies for the oxymoron of the last two words in the question!)

Cheers,
-- Henry

Good thing that we will have braefoot around to translate Henry III for us. ;)

As long as he is not going to try and kill me, or steal my drink, I'm cool with it... but the real question is...

Why would an intelligent sophisticated person of any sort want to tolerate being around FT'ers ;)

Due to all of the troubles with IBB I consider Randy just an adjunct.

Henry III is not the sort of guy to steal drinks (folks that do that sort of thing in Glasgow can get rather more than they bargained for ;)). Henry II, however, can be a little mischievous, but Henry I is extremely shy and hasn't been seen in public for a very long time. But rest assured, all three of me (us) is (are) pacifistic and quite averse to violence of any sort.
