Just out of curiosity, have non-drinkers attended this event in the past? Is it recommended that I attend?

Yes, I highly recommend you attend. ^^
Yes, non-drinkers attended Seville Boo Doo V.

I believe that this is correct.

We can start the party at the
Terraces - BA Lounge in Terminal 7. As an AAdvantage Plat, I can guest someone in... some free booze preflight helps... same thing in Madrid and on the way back...

While we certainly do have some who enjoy a tipple or two, every Boo Doo has been completely free of drama, anti-social behavior, and any kind of embarrassment by attendees who can't hold their liquor. This one will be no different, and you can be sure that anyone who doesn't know how to act when representing us will escorted to the street with little delay. But based on past experience, I'm not worried. :)

This is my tentative itinerary, good for another 36 hours:

Thursday, October 29, 2009
21:05h / New York
John F Kennedy, Terminal 7 Friday, October 30, 2009
10:15h / Madrid
Barajas , Terminal 4S IB6252 Flight operated by Iberia
Friday, October 30, 2009
17:15h / Madrid
Barajas, Terminal 4 Friday, October 30, 2009
18:25h / Barcelona
Barcelona , Terminal C

I purposely chose this itinerary so that I may spend a few hours in Madrid, if that is at all possible.

I would be interested in chipping in for a rental car if anyone is around at the time that I am scheduled to arrive in Barcelona, as well as share a hotel room and any other way I can cut down on expenses.

Unfortunately, I am on a strict budget at this time...

Thank you, alanw. I appreciate it.

Well Canarsie you are on the "party" plane out of JFK but never feel as though you will be unwelcome because you don't drink. I have never been to a DO where this was an issue.

As far as Madrid goes get your subway map out. If everything is smooth try to make it to the Prado. You will have to pay but it is just amazing. Sundays were free when I was there. Even if you can only spend an hour it is well worth it.

Madrid has outstanding pastry shops, Barcelona has gelato on every street corner.

Looking forward to meeting you and if everybody is hung over we are going touring. And I know how to work within a budget.

All these people in coach? What is going on?
I'll be on Air France in C :( Sounds like the FT Party flight would be more fun.
At least I'll see you all in esp...

Flying in coach and not earning full miles. It goes against everything FT is about!!!

You guys are making me jealous. I need to find a way to make this happen. But not in coach. Just think of the children!

And just realized the Star Alliance Do is the next week. Oh, this is getting interesting.

That's exactly what we're doing: flying to the Boo doo (probably 29th-30th like everyone else) and then Monday to BCN maybe spend a day or two there and then off to the Star Alliance DO which will ironically take us right back to TLS to see the LH airbus 380 being born or some such :)

We will probably fly *A through FRA or LHR to BCN but we'd be happy to share a car rental from/to BCN. I'm afraid we're not up to booking things this far in advance though!
