Have the attic all prepped for the blowing - but took longer then anticipated to finish the baffles and to add some fiberglass insulation to an area. That compounded with inclement weather (snow! ) may preclude me from attending the dinner. I still will make it to the MVPG Lunch though ^

Not sure if this would be exactly "do-worthy", but I will be moving back to Alaska. I just accepted an offer with my current employer to relocate to the Anchorage area.
After 11 years in Germany and 3 years in Japan before that, my wife and I decided it might be good idea to actually settle down somewhere.
With my daughter attending UAF, this presented a great opportunity not only professional, but personally. We've always said that we would eventually return to Alaska. Apparently "eventually" is now the first week of December.
The good thing (or at least I think it is good) was that I didn't go looking for this job, they came looking for me. The only downside it that it is a short notice move, so I've got lots to do on this end in only a few weeks. Once I get to Alaska, things will be much calmer.
I'm scheduled to arrive in Anchorage on the 8th of December, though it may be a day or two earlier, depending on how many days we stop en route from Germany
Anyway, I'd love to get together sometime after the 8th of December, if people are willing.

Might be a bit tight right when you get back... but who knows perhaps an FTer or two will be on your flight on the 8th (not coming via PDX are you? )

I am scheduled to leave Germany of the 4th of December and spend a few days in Seattle, flying up to Anchorage on the 8th. Depending on how much time we want to spend in Seattle, we may end up flying up on Monday, Dec 6th.
