Back in RDM after a great visit to ANC including a fun dinner with beckoa at the Bear Tooth (Moose's Tooth was way too crowded)!
Good flights back as well via PDX, though was caught again by the fact that my ticket indicated MVP rather than Gold - had to go to Customer Service to have my excess baggage fee removed.
Hope to make it back again soon.

Next year is the 50th Anniversary of Alaska's Statehood too!
It was an enjoyable evening, and I appreciate you and little-davew-krdm taking the time to visit ~

Hi, folks. I'm flying in from SC on Sunday for my first ever visit to Alaska. I'll be there for work for 8 - 13 days (depending on how things progress) with the weekend off. Anyone around to perhaps meet up for dinner?

Drop me a PM if you like- if you're leaving from East Coast you'll probably reach ANC after the BR closes, but if I hear back in the morning (B4 10ish AM) I can confirm (or deny
)I do work on the weekends - but could work something out I'm sure-
Enjoy Alaska sc flier!

I snooze I lose...
Wow, if those dates under the OP's "Historical Record" are all 2008 I missed about a dozen ANC events during my recent FT hiatus.
We'd be glad to have you, sc flier. (I'm a HUGE fan of your Starwood GE links, btw. ^) I've been out of the loop for awhile but have a pretty flexible schedule. Sounds like beckoa's in too. jackal, are you back in town?

beckoa and AKronin,
I wasn't feeling perfect on the planes yesterday (minor sinus congestion beginning on my early-morning flight out of CAE), so I'm going to see how I'm feeling today before I try to commit to a schedule. I'll send a PM later today or tonight. Moose's Tooth is on my agenda for sometime, but I'm not sure when.

Acting on a last millisecond tip from AKronin, BOB W and I sped off to the Long Branch Saloon for a late evening drink with Young Master Kronin and special guest star sc flier. A thoroughly disreputable time was had by all.
Enjoy your first visit to Alaska, sc flier ! Mind the yellow snow, and no, those aren't malted milk balls.

Was good to meet each of you last night. I picked up a late release ticket to see Chris Botti at the Performing Arts Center. Great show! Had dinner nearby afterwards at Crush Wine Bistro -- very good food and a very nice selection of wine flights!
My quest to see moose this afternoon was successful!
