If you didn't make it to lunch, I should be back at the airport by late afternoon,
so if you wanted to join me for a glass of Dutch courage at Rooney's in the
airport before your arduous journey to Delray Beach, let me know.

There are a couple of parties that will be in the ES bar tonight, so things may well get jammed there during Happy Hour. On the other hand, the hotel will be putting out a table for us in the pool area for the Dovster Award ceremonies.

Even if it is raining (not the case at the moment) there is a covered area where we can stand for this.

I have no idea of what the situation will be like at the Ale House. Yesterday, it was jam packed. The manager was supposed to speak with MRKEY today and, hopefully, something has been worked out there.

Everything is set beautifully for dinner on Saturday night.

What time does this start? I'm here now, but didn't see any familiar faces.

A lot of us are headed down in 20 minutes or less.

You and I know each other but for those that don’t know us, look for the ubiquitous Cholula bottle on the table.

Or the out-of-place Hawaiian shirt?

I live about 20 mts south of the airport. But I should take you up on your "mileage runs" offer

Dovster, I apologize for being a no-show but as I thought might happen I flew up to DC today. I had several appointments and tasks that needed attending. I hope the PBI-FLL meet goes very well!!!!

It was good to see most of you tonight!

And we had at least 25 people at the Ale House dinner! I'd say the dinner event went well. I hope everyone enjoyed their food ^

Thanks to those who helped provide transportation to and from the restaurant. We did not use the hotel shuttle after all.

And another thanks to Margaret (braefoot) and her sister Katherine for picking up my tab

I agree! It was great to see old friends again; however, I especially enjoyed meeting the many new folks whose posts I've enjoyed, but whom I haven't had the chance to meet in person. The ES bar closed waaaay too soon to suit me, but I'll make up for that tomorrow!

Hey, was that lame-o or what??

But a half-dozen of us did close it down and gossiped about the FT’ers who weren’t in the bar tonight so it wasn’t a total loss.

As folks have said earlier, it was really cool to finally meet so many FT’ers whose posts I have been reading for years.

Thanks to our local hosts for their great planning and we look forward to the rest of the weekend.

I knew that sentence will cause some misunderstanding.

I said that because some people haven't made it to Boca Raton yet

Just busting your chops, Rick.

And, BTW, it was my distinct pleasure to finally meet you tonight. You’re the class act that everybody said you were.
