www.accorhotels.com has ok rates
stayed a few on the Robertson Quay long ago that were good and cheap too.

Just down the block and around the corner. I'm at the Sheraton on Friday night, then the Meridian on Saturday to get started with SPG Double Stays in 08.

Have a cancelable reservation at the Fragrance Hotel-Selegie but hoping that something better comes across the grid before it's time to head west. Beginning the next round of e-mails to the smaller hotels to see what that brings for this budget minded traveler.

Well, as I'm still trying to get out from under a bunch of SIN-terminating tickets I booked before I knew where I'd be living, I'm now IN for the do. Booked to arrive from HKG on Friday night/Saturday morning (where I will see bseller and maybe others?) and leave on TG on Sunday afternoon.

We've done the Saturday Downtown walking tour a few times. Anyone have insight on if a tour of the rest of Singapore would be feasible.

I don't mean the hop-on hop-off bus or the tourist spots, Sentosa, etc...

I mean a Real "This is the Rest of Singapore" type tour?

Be more fun than the same old same old... and we could still end it with pints on the River Quay. :D
