Ditto that. I'm definitely interested as well, but yeah, am holding out (hopefully not for long) for something lower. IIRC, fares ex-US to Asia did take a bit of a dive into "slightly more affordable" ranges later in the fall, yet not so much later that upgrade chances were gone.

It is, to be sure, one HECK of a way to totally jump-start one's FF account for the year. Not to mention a great way to get some sunshine in the middle of winter.

Sounds good to go to SIN. Need to stay at the RC and rake in some HON miles.

You could join me on SQ 025 on the 17th JAN 08 from FRA to SIN on C. ;)

Well, the "finding" of a 1998-dated UA refundable ticket and the subsequent issuance of a $800 voucher in exchange thereof (;)) - has led to the booking of my SIN run tickets!! YIPEE!!

So, violist, I imagine that it's off to Boat Quay at least once for the downing of a couple of Singha pitchers, and perhaps even a return to Race Course Road. :)
I'm leaving on Sunday a.m., so Saturday nite festivities will have to be limited to dinner and an early bedtime.

I'll transit through HKG, but it'll be on Jan. 18.
Best, Dave

I plan on joining you at Boat Quay to "help out" with the Singha
pitchers (as if you would need any help!) and at all the other
great venues that has made this DO a favorite of mine.

Where in Boat Quay are pitcher's of Singha served? I would prefer Tiger myself.

Fares out of NYC are about $1050 now.... hmpf.... I'd go for 2 weeks and kill some time around the rest of the area though.... this is tempting :)

Singha, Tiger, Carlsberg... Can't we all just get along? :p

I'm like 90% sure i'm going to be in the neighborhood around this time.

Dude i know will be in HKG, another friend will be in CGK, and it turns out my best friend from college is moving to BKK.

So......... I'm going to do my darndest to get out there for at least part of this. Might as well kill a number of birds with one stone. None of my friends been to SIN....

OK, now that it's only a few months away, shouldn't we update the list of attendees, and make out an aggenda.

No SinDoo would be complete without a late Friday night feast at the Food Court. I like the La Pau Sat, but there are other ones just as good.

I love the No Signboard dinner on Saturday nights. After last year's try at the Esplanade location (which was fine), I thought I heard a consensus that people prefer the Geylang location.

We've done the Walking tour a few times. Maybe we can try something else this Saturday afternoon. History/Orientation seems to be liked through the tour. Maybe we can build on that.

What are the Chances SQ or Changi Airport could provide some type of back-stage tour.

I've missed the Night Safari in the past. Love to do that this year too...

What d'ya all think?

BTW, the Conrad has only rack rates available. It's because of a big convention that weekend at SunTek convention hall across the street. I've booked at a Starwood for the 1st time in SIN. I'll miss the Conrad, but not at S$350/night.

Due to the dates I am out. There is a remote chance of change in circumstances though which would enable me to attend.
