Thats nothing compared to being a member of the audience at WPFWs (www.wpfw.org 89.3FM) studio today. Radio broadcast of LIVE jazz performances by DC area musicians all day today. The studio is located at 2390 Champlain St NW, in the heart of Adams Morgan less than 1 mile from Caf Saint Ex. It is a mini fund raiser for this public radio station, though there is no obligation to pledge

Sorry but we have to back out of today's get-together.

I am still nursing a bad cold and do not want to share this with the group.

Thanks for keeping the sniffles to yourself -- hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks again to everyone who came "early" to keep me company while waiting for the table. Glad most everyone was able to make it, it was a nice sized crowd for a Sunday evening.

Tazi ... and the excuse this time is???? :P

A special thanks to chtiet for providing me commentary via my cell on the last 15 minutes or so of the TAR episode which due to road construction and traffic back-ups, I missed entirely (I walked in the door during the first commercial following the end of the show)

I overslept Truthfully, didn't get home til 5am after working so I was just waking up at 5pm.

I will be in Reston for a job interview Monday so if anyone is up for a last minute happy hour, I will likely head to Rio Grande in Reston Town Center.

Well, I'm in DC area pretty much until the 30th doing networking as part of a job search. My Monday schedule isn't finalized, but evening might be possible...

Hi folks ... is there anything set down for NOVEMBER at this point?

Margaret and I enjoyed meeting so many folks in June, and if anyone is about November 10 would be pleased to catch up for a drink and a meal.

We are flying over on November 1 to Portland Maine to drive up into Canada and do some leaf peeping on the loop.

We can fly back to SYD from PWM via IAD Nov 11 on a good connection, or give ourselves a Dulles hotel overnight Friday Nov 10th and then take the SYD flight next day, and squeeze in the air museum during that day.

Around Reston/Dulles would suit best I am sure, but flight from PWM gets into IAD at 4pm Fri, so have time up our sleeves and hopefully might bum a ride downtown or elsewhere if that suits others better location wise.

I need to finalise ticketing and dates in a couple days, so any input as to whether that Friday works for any others would be greatly appreciated.

Friday the 10th definitely works for me. Particularly for a Virginia side event

Glen:

Sadly, I'll miss you and Margaret as well, and for the same reason.
