Welcome all to the new DC Metro Area Happy Hour Thread! Our Happy Hours are not necessarily restricted to just Happy Hours - include lunches, dinners, driving in circles in parking lots and anything else you can dream up and get together a bunch of people for!


Our current scheduled get togethers are as follows

One handy tip: Do go to an ATM and carry cash with you - its always easier to settle a bill if everyone has cash - rather than having 10 credit cards on the table. And we can let the host/hostess (Grand Poobah) use a credit card if they prefer :)

Anyone up for adding yet another happy hour to this month's schedule?

I'm in SEA for the 1/5 happy hour & won't be able to make the 1/22 happy hour - but if anyone's around on January 14, and is available to hang out that'd be great!

Both keithguy and channa are going to be in DC on that Saturday night for a mileage run. keithguy's staying in Arlington off of Columbia Pike & channa's staying a bit further out, but he'll have a car. We were planning to meet up in the evening for drinks (9PM-ish, maybe a little earlier, maybe a little later??) either in the Ballston or Pentagon City/Row area - I'll post the details when something is finalized - however, if anyone is available & has suggestions, please post them...

Hope to see some people out on the 14th!

Technically speaking, I don't know when the last true "happy hour" for the dc crowd actually took place ;) :p

If I'm in town, I'll try to make it - but only because you want me there! I'm traveling a heck of a lot now for my job, and will only be in town on Jan. 3 between now & Jan 17. Although I haven't booked the trip yet, I have 1 of two trips that are potentially planned for leaving that Sunday - 1 being ROA (which is about a 5 hour drive too - I could probably leave early Monday morning if I go that week) & the other being to BOI - which I won't know til it gets closer to the time frame. If I'm around, I'll try to make it out & cross the river.

You mean from 5-7PM? I'd say it was sometime back in '03 - we're more of a late group!

Technically speaking. I'll take what I can get - like most other people on the DC Get Together Threads - I still need to see you to believe you exist! :D

How to find the group?
 

If a new guy were to show up at say Grevey's on 1/5, how would he find the FTers? Secret backroom (with special knock)? Password? High sign? Secret handshake?

I believe dcgators usually wears some Florida Gators paraphernalia.
