I just called them ... they don't take reservations but he said it doesn't usually get busy until later in the evening. Entertainment starts at 7:30 so we should try to get a large table in the bar area so we can enjoy the music. I think I will try to get there about 5:30 and see about grabbing a table.

Looking forward to this .... I haven't been to The Dubliner in years!

That's the spirit! I was scared that people might start backing out - but I guess there is a reason people on this board are road "warriors". :)

But will the Dubliner be open? If I can make it to the Metro station, I'm OK as I'll be underground all the way. Just read the latest discussion from my buddy out at Stirling and they are backing off from the earlier 8-14" forecast to 6-12". And it will be heavier east of I-95.

While it 'sho is a lookin' a mighty nasty outside now...who knows what tomorrow night may bring. I'm planning on driving my self down to DC tomorrow afternoon---Dubliner or otherwise. Even if the Dubliner closes, hotels never do....well, ok, maybe...but not tomorrow.

I would say that judging from what I saw on the news at the grocery stores, you'd think people were expecting to hunker down for months.

I'm a maybe right now. There were alot of things I needed to do today before heading down there and they will have to wait until later in the afternoon now. Still snowing and my car is buried!

Still going to the travel and adventure show
 

Well the travel and adventure show is still a go at the convention center. We are getting ready to pull on our boots and head to metro and downtown. Doesnt sound like people are planning to go for the Dubliner. If we went we would have to stay downtown for another two hours (show closes at 4) so we may not be coming either.

I see you intend for the fantasy of your existence to continue for some folks ... maybe next time (and no more selection of location for you!!)

Headcount, please .... I haven't been out yet, but there isn't really that much to clean up out there so I'd be willing to head out to the Dubliner tonight. Anyone else?

And if we get mostly VA folks, how about changing venues? ;)
