Count me in for the next Happy Hour or dinner. May I add, that I am just learning of these gatherings, and I think they're a great idea! ^

May I suggest a restaurant in the Georgetown area -- or perhaps the DCA Legal? :D

Where on 2/12 is the next question?

How about The Dubliner?

Be a nice prelude to the Shamrock DO :)

I'm travelling all of February, but I'll try to make one in March!

bhatnasx Feb 2, 2006 12:40 pm

Currently, 2/12 works for me!

chrisw Feb 2, 2006 1:25 pm

I'll be skiing in the rockies on 2/12. I propose 2/16 instead :D

For those not going on the Shamrock Do, can one ever get enough Guiness?

But yes, it would be a great Shamrock Prelude. If it's not decided on as "the" place for this next gathering, I find myself inspired to make it a lunch stop on the way to DCA for my flights :). Speaking of the Shamrock Do, it's 2?16-2/20 or so, which would rule out Tazi & myself...not sure who, if anyone else, from DC/BWI is going.

2/12 remains do-able for me, and/or any non-superbowl time this weekend.

Anyone fancy dinner/drinks this evening? I'm with a coworker but he'd probably be up for it also.

skye1 Feb 3, 2006 1:57 pm

I'll be around later. I've got a work function that I should go to...one of those work things that one doesn't "have" to go to but "should" go to--you do your work duty, you make your appearance, you put on the game face and smile like you like it, then be glad you have a reason to leave :D. It will go 'til about 8 or so...then I'm free.

I'm in for 2/12. Since Chinese New Year has just passed, why not a dim sum brunch in Chinatown DC as a change of pace.

Wow! Where have you been partying without us? I too prefer a change of pace and therefore the Dubliner sounds good to me! :D

Let's hear from the others folks - and then we can make a decision.

Date Fixed - 2/12

Sorry Chrisw. We can arrange something again after 2/12. ^

Count me in for 2/12. Dim sum or the Dubliner sound lovely.

Adventure and Travel show in Convention Center that day

http://www.adventureexpo.com/client/index.aspx?page=50 There is a travel and adventure show this weekend at the D.C. convention center that makes a nice combo with the happy hour. What time are we talking about for the Dubliner.

Nice location as well....

GoingAway Feb 6, 2006 9:05 pm

Sounds like 2/12 is a go along with the Dubliner. Let's see if Tazi gets to show up this time.

pranu Feb 6, 2006 9:55 pm

Time Suggestions welcome folks. Anytime after 5 PM should work for me - will be coming in from DE - hopefully traffic will co-operate.
