So did you guys play?
Who won?

jfe Sep 8, 2005 8:00 am

Not me :D

Starwood Lurker Sep 8, 2005 8:52 am

I came in 4th, one place out of the money. But, I'm encouraged. Last week I was the first player eliminated. :td: The game is slowing down a little for me, so I'm hoping it will continue in that direction as experience playing online is developed. This week's goal was not to be out first. Next week's is to finish in the money, which I would have done had I not made a couple of mistakes and been able to adjust my play according to the blinds increasing and the number of players decreasing.

I got first, I think DRBCT (or something close) got second, and third place is on the tip of my tongue. Lurker was really the big stack for a long time.

I thought you played very well. Since I lost 1/3 of my stack on my first hand (Oh, how I hate pocket 9's), and was struggling the first hour, it was very much touch and go.

At least this time, I managed to have a big chip stack and finish first (unlike the 2nd game where I had a big chip stack, and blew it, and only got 2nd.)

No worries. :) It's really a lot of fun, but school starts up again soon, so I'm not sure how many more I'm going to be able to make - consecutively anyway. Playing online is definitely a different animal than in person, but just like playing in person, experience makes the difference, so I'm hopeful for improvement in the future.

Ok. Do you remember what the payouts were?

kokonutz Sep 8, 2005 5:17 pm

I got $22 for third place. I know this sounds weak, but I had an 8pm (PDT) date and so at 7:30 (with 4 players left) I started making crazy bets.

In the end I was only a couple minutes late and still managed to beat big dog lurker though! ;) :p

There were 11 players for a pot of $110. 1st (50%) = $55, 2nd (30%) = $33, 3rd (20%) = $22.

Congrats to last night's winners!

LOL. Well, I guess we know what my nickname will be if I ever make the WPT. Maybe I can get Big Dog to be a corporate sponsor. ;)
